Chickens! Page 2

Behold the second page of CHICKENS! A TRUE STORY OF CHICKENS.
Robin usually sleeps in his clothes for the next day so he can be up and about immediately, so I probably should've drawn him in the same shirt he was wearing in the first page. But then canny readers would notice the apparent continuity error and call me out, not knowing Robin's rich backstory and lore.
That was my sister and a dog. She started asking at age 2, and was told "when you're 8 you can have a dog" and I swear to Dog she counted the minutes until she turned 8. (Said dog lived to be just short of 19! She was a good dog, and I miss her.)

@David: Sorry, but alas, no - the shell is deposited on the outer layer of the shell membrane by the shell-gland, which is part of the hen's oviduct.

I, however, am strongly advised to assume I will be showering before the day starts! I deny that was so advised by people who were holding their noses...

Reminds me of my sister, who asked for a horse for as long as I can remember. Mom and Dad got her every possible non-living version of a horse for years until they finally got her the real thing.

You mean a plush chicken. A stuffed chicken is full of cornbread, onions and celery.

Oh I also sleep in my clothes for the next day! It's useful for if you have to get out of bed early.

the mutant egg comes first from an almost chicken. The real question is was it male or female?

I know this isn't really the point, but shells (and placentas in mammals) are made by the fertilised egg, not the mother

Possible Answer: Bird hatches from a non-chicken eggshell, lays a non-chicken eggshell containing the first chicken... Then the first surviving adult female chicken lays the first chicken eggshell. Eggshells are made by the bird mother regardless of the DNA of the bird embryo therein.

The following year Robin gets eggs as gifts, definitively answering the age old question.
