just in case anyone here hasn't seen what happens when Chickens are covered by an at least slightly mad Scientist : https://ntoll.org/article/chicken/ I've got the original issue of AIR this appeared in somewhere... And I agree with Hugh, but at least chickens are domesticated dinosaurs - I work on a campus all but overrun by geese.

2024-09-03 01:41:19 +0000 UTCIn boy scouts we had the words to a song about "Ghost Chickens in the Sky" but I didn't know the tune of the original song at first so when it should have sounded like "bok bok..bok boooooooooook, bok bok, bok bo-o-ook" but it actually just said "bok bok bok bok bok bok bok bok" I didn't know how to sing it and it was awkward. Chicken chat! My in-laws have chickens. Thought about getting some in my first marriage, but city ordinances may have thwarted that.

2024-09-02 22:28:42 +0000 UTCThis is where the chickens went. They lie… Not dead, not asleep. Not waiting, because waiting implies expectation. Possibly the word we’re looking for here is… …bokking. And although the space they occupy isn’t like normal space, nevertheless they are packed in tightly. Not a cubic inch there is but is filled by a claw, a talon, feather, the tip of a beak, so the effect is like one of those trick drawings and your eyeballs eventually realize that the space between each chicken is, in fact, another chicken. They could put you in mind of a can of sardines, if you thought sardines were warm and fluffy and proud and arrogant.
