Health Status

This is the first part of a roadmap and status post. Current health status is good!

Over the last year I had some health issues that affected development. I don’t generally mention this stuff because most people don’t care and I don’t want sympathy from those that do but I have to periodically remind people just because that is one of the biggest risk factors of a solo developer. An odd sick day is fine but if I burn out, get hurt, or get hit by a bus then I lose the ability to make all the things that I want to create. So my health is one of the things I have to maintain.

Last year sucked and I took a lot of mental and physical damage but this year I’ve recovered and gotten into pretty good shape. I’m not 100% and I still have some issues but compared to the low points last year I am a million times better off.  I am really grateful I got better instead of worse because it could have easily went the other way.

My stress levels are medium-high but down lots from last year and earlier this year. The biggest change was the AI alterations and experiments I ran. The realization I can finally do everything I want within budget and have a studio with capabilities that would have cost millions a few years ago is very creatively liberating. It makes me happy. It reduces stress. It also removed a large chunk of the monetary stress that exists within a solo developer’s life. Since I now have a million dollar studio equivalent I don’t have to raise, make, or spend a million to get to the same point. Effectively this added hundreds of thousands of dollars to Tango Fiction’s lifeline and changed the basic equation of what I can and should do going forward.

These changes are for me, Tango Fiction, and for both the public and private audiences. I thought it would benefit everyone and the proof is accumulating. I'm making cool stuff every single day!

An example that may be included in the Transfigure Cosplay section. I am getting better at animation, generation, and music composition.

Lots of new art has been made for Transfigure. Some of it should be out tomorrow in the new build and then July should be new content both VN remastered and never before seen.
