Hello.
Here is the new Transfigure build. Although I worked on it every day this month it’s not 100% complete but there is more than enough to show off (and hopefully get some feedback for some tweaks). I really want to get back to more regular and consistent monthly releases. There are still some graphical adjustments that will be made within the new art to make the old 3D renders and the newer art trained on them to match more closely.
The AI stuff is a rapidly changing field so it can be difficult to maintain high quality and consistency. I’m trying not to waste time but it’s necessary to get certain kinks ironed out. For example, I made some cool animations but they would not play in Ren’Py even though I have essentially identical stuff that does work. I solved all those issues and have everything organized for the next stage. I had to disable the new animated main menu because it looks chipped at a lower resolution (I will have a better version out eventually) but I understand some of these system quirks a lot better now. I do need to test video upscalers to make the animations look better but I’m happy with the level it is at now. I am oddly proud of the new chromosome animation! I think I should be able to make some really interesting transformation animations going forward.
The demo needs at least one more round of polish and the full conversion of its remaining graphics. After that, the story will finally move ahead. I aim to release both remade and never before seen VN content this summer.
The main thing the EA demo needs is its last remaining CG upgraded. I have already done all of them in the existing game (multiple times) but I left some with the original renders in for now because there were some quirks with the modified images. I don’t want to be too anal since I realize most people don’t care about background details as much but big details like shirt color shouldn’t change unless I want it to. A few of the images had issues with reflections and some other things where 3D is currently superior to the AI. Overall, I love how everything is meshing together but I’m still not an AI wizard yet. I’m trying to blend everything I’ve learned together to make something really cool though I think it’s working. I’ve never felt more creatively powerful than I do now.
The only other thing on my tweak list is some of the early Taylor sprites look proportionally odd next to the 3D render upgraded versions (heads too large etc). It’s ok, and I like it better than the previous Taylor graphics but it still doesn’t look quite right.
I’ve made a lot of progress building out AI models for the core cast. You can see characters like ZMP, Tim, Louise, Rhea etc in the bonus gallery. A new build will be out in June some time. Things should pick up speed from here. All systems are pretty much go!

Transfigure 0.0.3
-The game’s 3D renders and art has had an aesthetic upgrade. (Most of the EA build’s ~500 graphical assets have been upgraded to be higher quality and more consistent with the new style. This includes many new and altered graphics. There is still some adjustment to be made. Some old CG still remain in some areas.)
-Fixed several inconsistencies between the script and displayed graphics.
-Changed the main menu music and some other misc details such as the splash screen.
-2 new animations have been added during the main transformation scene.
-fixed several bugs preventing voice lines and sound effects from playing.
-added more art to the bonus gallery
