Render Roundup and Status Update

Hi everyone.

I want to finish Transfigure as soon as possible.

The past three weeks I’ve begun work in earnest on the main Transfigure 3D release beyond the scope of the demo. This has essentially tripled the game’s size. I’ve also got a fair bit faster at coding in Python as I gradually learn more.

Craig’s content has been coded into Ren’Py and I’m nearly done with most of the existing Yellow Potion and cosplay stories. It’s not 100% complete and lacks graphics but it has to be done and the sooner the better. 

Moving over the story content has allowed me to edit it again as I go along. I’ve added, rewritten, rephrased, and fixed a lot of passages to the point that I’m certain the VN script will be the most polished. For a fair number of the changes I did add them to the html version but most of the spontaneous edits are in the VN only.

Going through the Craig and YP content I noticed a few redundant choices (mainly escape choices offered multiple times) so I’m cutting some of those as I enter the final chapters of development. This act has also allowed me to isolate and corral all the loose ends together, which should help me keep track of which stories need completion.

I’ve also designed the story code to be more modular to make development and internal navigation easier as the game’s complexity increases.

I’m going to put in my best effort to finish Transfigure this year. Given everything I have in front of me, it’s more than possible but there is definitely a lot of work ahead of me. At this rate I should have most of the story content added to Ren’Py in the next quarter. Then I will shift to the remaining areas that need the most work, mainly writing and graphics.

On the CG roundup front, I have a bunch of Hart renders and a YP pinup. I like the way they turned out. Let me know if you agree.

For upcoming releases this is the game plan for the first part of the year:

A modest monthly html update scaled so that the 3D game finishes before the html game.

1-2 more builds of the Transfigure 3D demo before a public release, hopefully lining up with Tango Fiction’s anniversary at the end of February.
