Drew Drachmann’s 3D Model Reveal + Spicy Pic!
Added 2022-12-21 04:42:35 +0000 UTCAfter many failed attempts, this is the current working model I have ended up with for Drew Drachmann.
Working with fat characters poses some unexpected difficulties. For example, I wanted to give Drew a nice sprinkling of a neckbeard but I need to figure out how to get the textures to bind to the outer morph layer and not the original one which produces a poor looking result.
Drew doesn’t really look like Jonah Hill that I use for the html version but he’s closer to my original concept so I don’t mind this direction. The core features match up.
One thing I am unsure of is Drew’s genitals. He’s using default ones in these images. Due to my time during the “trial of dicks” last month (lol) I can now make much more realistic genitals for both male and female characters.
Drew is meant to be one of the more modest characters so the current ratios don’t look wrong to me. I’m not trying to go too deep down the rabbit hole but I want everything to look nice and have a minimum level of quality so he will probably get a downstairs upgrade.
Feedback is appreciated so I can refine the models as quickly as possible. One thing I did do is slightly lower Drew's height after these images.
What’s with Drew’s grin? I think he’s showing Evan what a winner looks like 🙂

Yeah, I already have a rough idea based on their character descriptions. I also realized I could use a perspective trick to seamlessly integrate character images into the game without editing or changing their heights afterwards. It doesn't have to be perfect but short characters should be short on screen etc. I am keeping Taylor at Caprice's original 5'3 Drew ~5'10 Evan 6' and Mitch 6'1 or so he's described as tall and muscular. I have had a hell of time finding a hairstyle for him. I only found 1 good one I liked similar to his html picture but it doesn't seem to exist on the daz site.

2022-12-21 07:52:15 +0000 UTCI think you need to start establishing the heights of the characters, especially in proportion to each other and to Taylor. Like Evan needs to be taller than Drew. And I'm guessing Mitch would be a skinny bastard? And Damien is medium or short?

2022-12-21 07:40:41 +0000 UTCGood observations! I definitely agree about the height and I already lowered it but I am going to do it even more. I was having some issues with perspective so I got some measurement modules working actually because of how weird the heights looked in this render. Originally Drew is a whopping 6 foot 3 and had giant trap muscles that distorted his shirt lol. Part of the issue is that Taylor is actually quite short as well standing around 5 2 with her head cocked.

2022-12-21 07:20:25 +0000 UTCOh! Regarding Drew's body, I think I have two separate issues: 1. He is too tall. In my head Drew should be barely taller than Taylor, or even shorter. If he is taller than her, he needs to have bad posture to make himself look smaller. This body stands like someone who has way too much self-esteem than Drew. 2. He is box-shaped, which is typically something that happens to older men who used to be athletic but stopped. Younger fat men who aren't athletic tend to be more pear or egg-shaped.

2022-12-21 05:20:06 +0000 UTCYeah, you can't fix it with fat morphs since it's the bone structure that's too mature. You may want to shorten his face vertically, and widen it horizontally. He also needs a fatter jaw.

2022-12-21 04:51:56 +0000 UTCIn my opinion, Drew looks too old both in the face and in the body. He's supposed to be a college freshman/sophomore, not a middle-aged network admin. The structure of his face underneath the fat is too mature. He needs rounder cheeks I think?
