Transfigure .5 Beta / Christmas Release

Hey everyone!

I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays from your resident hummingbird-turned-writer!

Transfigure is now over half done so the next release after .99 Alpha is now reclassified as .5 Beta. The game contains most of the features I want in a final release with the exception of a combat system and some minor customization and cosmetic options. There is still plenty of work left but I am confident I know how to do most of it. There are a few areas I intend to expand with improvements, like adding a recall button to the ending tracker and fleshing out the settings options. Of course now that most of the stories have been started it is time to get to some conclusions of some of the long running stories.

I wrote a lot of cool stuff the past couple months. Sadly not all of it gets polished to a release worthy level and there are also other areas that are ready for a release but I haven’t completed the bridge scenes to get to them. This leaves some content in limbo. For example I have extra content for the Sam/ Lucas / Victoria areas (hint, hint TF Corps voters) and I just slightly fell short of getting to what I think will be some of Transfigure’s higher rated scenes. It’s a bit frustrating to me because I feel this is behind some of the “illusion of slowness” lately. I am building up content and producing at the same or higher rates than I have previously even if the updates have been a bit spotty lately.

As for the release, this one’s a doozy. I have a bunch more stuff coming in a follow up release too. So if you see something missing it’s coming soon! I wanted to put way more into this release as I always do but I have to cut it off somewhere. I wanted to be sure to release something and put it under the tree anyway even if it is a bit stingy. More is coming in the new year. A lot more!

Transfigure .5 Beta 12400 words

Taylor and his two best friends take a break from recent events by continuing their yearly tradition of spending the long weekend at Evan’s cabin. Zen Master Peeshi trains Taylor in the art of erotic self discipline. Taylor and Samantha struggle to fend off the machinations of Lucas Ferret.

-continued the “two friends” route with the alternate cabin adventure (where the trio go together). (~5k words)

-continued the ZMP route (branch found on Drew’s route, complete the ritual, QJ available) (1800 words) Note: this update isn’t finished and will continue next time.

-added a quickjump for one of the main decision trees at school in the early game

-edited Deter’s route and Peeshi’s, fixed and added more media

-continued the T Corp Resistance route with Samantha, Victoria, and Lucas. 5500~ words (Thanks to Director Jstar6264 for sponsoring this route addition!) To arrive on this route, answer Lucas’ riddle incorrectly and then refuse to cooperate.

-Fixed a minor narrative inconsistency on Ryan’s route (Thanks T7792!)

-added a bypass on the T Corp / Deter area so players can skip the protestor scene if desired.

-many minor edits courtesy of Poopoopuh and Tango (mostly spelling, grammar, and word choice)
