Hey everyone!

The new update is out! Yay! The birds had to examine every flower in the field, :P

I’m sorry this one took so long and I was quiet there. I got into the frequent loop of “I’m almost there! Why update status when I can complete this first?” x 10. Even today I was like “2 more hours!!” …  10 hours later. I also used more time than I usually do editing when I probably should have been writing new stuff but it’s all a delicate balancing act. I want to improve old content and add new stuff when I can. Oh well, I do my best with what I have.

The new update has a lot of rewrites and cosmetic changes on the Mitch route (and more scattered around). It took quite a bit of time but it’s a popular route and I want them all updated as I enter “beta” mode this year.

We also have a healthy dose of Tim and a bunch of other random goodness like Lucas and Victoria. I had to bump a bunch of near finished content since I ran out of time but that’s nothing new. If you are wondering where x is, it’s in development somewhere and probably coming “soon” if the hummingbird express allows delivery.

Status wise, I want to mention a few things about my schedule. I got offered a dream job earlier this month and because it compliments my schedule and life really well (plus mooonies!) I accepted. It isn’t super time consuming for the next month or two but the duties will gradually increase but should never take the bulk of my time. For the foreseeable future (next year or so) I think it will take about half of my work time (~80 hours a month, potentially less once I get everything rolling) which shouldn’t impact writing production directly. The hours are still there and updates will get done. At the moment it takes me about 1 full time work week to make an update and do basic community management (40 hours) which I do over the course of the month. (Which is usually bit more with additions, edits, content in development etc.) So this will leave me about a week plus free which I can use for more writing if the reader support is there. I feel I am fairly compensated for what I produce now but growth has been slow lately. Sometimes it feels like unless I am constantly pushing the boulder uphill it will roll back down on me. I’d like to do more but there are realistic time constraints and Tango Fiction has to compete with my other projects for resources. I still fully intend to finish Transfigure and a bunch of other stories for everyone. I’ll keep writing until I complete the stories I want to tell. This job might even help since I can focus my free time and energies on creative writing without the added financial stress. I don’t think the update pace will change but there may be a little bit of travelling I have to do that may occasionally throw in a slight delay but I will plan for them long in advance so I don’t think there will be much impact to anything from a reader or subscriber’s point of view. If it should ever get to the point where the page income is more than the hours I can put in, I’ll start to build additional art and commission funds.

I wrote a lot in 2019 so there is still a fairly large bank of content I will edit up for this year. I’m really excited to add some spicy conclusions to many of the paths! Unless you read VERY closely and explore all the paths I doubt any single reader will see all of the conclusions and twists coming.

The apparent slowness lately just comes from making these partly done stories into finished stories, the timeframe for that process is inconsistent and generally slower than my creative phase. But I have lots of great stuff coming. This means endings. Crazy conclusions! It also means I have the foundation of the project complete. On my OCD playthrough doing edits along the way, I felt the game is actually looking and reading pretty sharply in some areas. It is rare I’m happy with anything but I can finally see a lot of this coming together. By the end of the year I expect to have many of the primary endings and some sub variations done.

At the end of that period, the audience should be able to say: “okay, Tango, wrap it up and start a new project!” or remake Transfigure with custom art, or keep it going endlessly, or reallocate to Transfigure 2 or a number of other ideas.

As always, I really appreciate your support and patience as I continue to work. I will always update my fans if anything out of the ordinary happens, otherwise just assume I am randomly flitting around and trying to poke some content into decent shape.

I hope you like the new update! It’s not really what I wanted to release for Christmas, but I think the new Tim content is pretty good. I often get compliments on that path so it’s good that Director G ponied up to have it appear.

Later this month I have a second director requested route that should be pretty unique. I have a lot of routes that will fill in some of the major back stories and mysteries in Transfigure.  I went to do an inventory of stuff I am working on for everyone but the inventory is basically everything with a few of the more recently mentioned routes leading the pack.

I appreciate your trust and patience and hope you enjoy the new content and polish! This update’s word count may seem a bit low but there a shitload of hours in it. I think the love I put into this stuff is finally showing through!

Anyway, onward to the release!

Let me know what you discover :P The endings may be a tad on the darker end of the spectrum. I will try and add some greater character distinction during the polish stages.

Cause I was trying to work out in my head why Tim would only approach you in the Mitch junkie route (and in the "Taylor gets a Groupon" route, but in that one he more gets dragged along, since it's free real estate) and the difference is that in this route Evan isn't there at Taylor's side the whole time. So in my head Tim's the type who's looking for girls to rescue? Also wow I guess I gotta go figure out the Mitch route again, cause I keep ending up at the island.

I appreciate the honest feedback!

Hey SP, thanks for the ideas! The new Mitch content is the coffee date + new lines and media on the junkie route. The Junkie route does not end at the island - that's an entirely separate thing (Luccia's bonus story). There are 2 or 3 endings on the path that I wrote, plus the divergence to Louise (F-F). End 6 is one of the only primary routes that is "complete" ie done for now. There will be more transition and other sex scenes eventually though.

Okay, my feedback on Tim's route: I'm a little underwhelmed by his storyline. It doesn't seem to do a lot in defining Tim's character. There's a little too much focus on the BBC content, and not enough on his personality and what makes his character stand out. He seems like a nice guy who just happens to be a monster in bed, but he doesn't have Evan's sense of humor. Maybe emphasize the fact that he's the type who's attracted to damaged girls in distress, since he only hooks up with Taylor when Taylor gets hooked? He's a knight in shining armor type, I guess? That would make him stand out among the crowded cast of the game. Just my personal opinion tho. Also is the new Mitch content just the coffee date? And does Mitch's junkie route still end at the island?
