Tango returns… Better late than never :*(
I have some good news, some really good news, and some great news to report. The good news is the next update is finally done. Yay! The really good news (that I already leaked) is that my code tests finally turned out well (usually they end up being a bit of an, ahem, “learning experience.”) So Transfigure now has a basic ending tracker! Finally! Now I can start adding endings in style! Lastly, and perhaps best of all, I am launching a new commission section of Tango fiction that should lead to lots of additional saucy tales for all the people of the internets!
This update includes bonus content and exists in its expanded form in part because of all you patrons! Whether you chip in a buck or just merely support my work through other means, it is very much appreciated!!
Communication was a bit spotty this month but I got into that groove of “one more day” that takes many days. In general, if I am quiet it usually means I am still writing, or more often, polishing content for a final release. If there is ever a major problem or delay I’d let everyone know. I do respond to all comments and questions, so feel free to drop me a line if you want to.

An average update takes me about a full time work week. This update took close to a hundred hours, and that’s about all I can manage without going overboard. I write every day. Creative projects are not like physical projects - if it takes an hour to dig a hole and fill it in, it would take about an hour each time I repeat the task. With writing sometimes I can fill a plot hole in a few minutes, sometimes it takes me days. I still didn’t finish what I wanted to but it is already a new month so it’s time to put something out! No more sleepy emojis for Tango Fiction patrons :P
Over the next couple months I will have to research Tweego and some of the compiling programs because Transfigure has exceeded the capabilities of Twine/Sugarcube. I now suffer from about a 10-15 second delay on all actions. I click on something, it doesn’t get highlighted and register for 16 seconds. When you multiply this by the thousands of actions needed to do an update, it is now wasting a very significant amount of time. The delay increases about 1 second a month. Twine is just not designed for long, complicated projects with a lot of text and passages. I have been trying to combat this the past year by writing and doing extensive edits and proofreading before adding to twine, because adding a comma takes a millisecond on a writing program or 30 seconds to find it and load passages in twine.
Anyway, onward to the release. I did work on a big Evan update but it didn’t quite make it. I will make sure it comes out in the next month or so.

Taylor is forced to make lewd concessions by a victorious Craig. Sandra Bell makes Taylor an offer she can’t refuse. Taylor begins a new spy mission and suffers an unfortunate side effect right before being thrust into the life of famed performer Ariana Mucho. Teddy Roux fights to claim his “prize.”
-added the first update of the “Ending Tracker” feature with Transfigure’s nine complete endings- using the return to start link after discovering an end will save its progress! (currently “restart” resets the ending data so be forewarned. Save files save everything until reset and can be reloaded.)
-Added a main menu button to the sidebar to return for ending checks and scene checks (eventually)
-updated credits and info page
-added brothel route to quickjump
-added a new Rhea lesbian scene on the brothel path, found just before the auction (not at the end of the path like usual)
-started Ariana Mucho’s spy mission (chipped variation) 5500+ words
-continued awkward brothel auction with Teddy Roux (Thanks Director G for sponsoring this route!) (5k words)
-continued Craig’s main path up to start of the next chapter. (Thanks Director BUsy Bat for sponsoring this route addition!) ( 7250words)
-added some minor misc media (Cho, brothel) and centered numerous pics.
-Added an end/ warning for a continuity error on the group activities route (Thanks MichelleK2 for pointing this out!) I will replace this with a new scene one day.
Known bug note: Navigating to the menu in the middle of a story and then quick jumping can break the appearance triggers and make the portraits display incorrectly. It is recommended to hit the back button or start a new game if you navigate to the menu in the middle of something.

2019-11-05 07:13:14 +0000 UTCWell I felt I've been a little stingy the past few months so I wanted to get at least an XL update and the first commission (most of the new Craig content) helped give me an excuse to do that. Time wise, it wasn't all writing. I spent quite a while organizing media and trying to get the ending tracker to work properly. I also worked on some other routes during the course of the month so I already had a lot of time in before I even started editing. There is also lost time for the twine delay. I wouldn't say the media scarcity in some areas is on purpose, it's definitely more of the second part. Caprice has a lot of sets but there are large gaps in some themes. When I don't have a default fit then I try and find media that is tasteful but cropped in a way you can't really tell it isn't caprice. Generally, people want more media and the people who care more about words don't refuse extra media if it is there. If you ever have a picture or something that fills in a gap you are welcome to send it to me. There are several people like Nicke and Ivan that send me really cool stuff that I either add or bank for later. I am amenable to adding if the media is tasteful and fills in or better replaces something existing especially if there is a gap like two or three pages of erotic content in a row with no media. Originally there were gifs with like big hoop earrings early on, I replaced with other ones. I'm trying to maintain a bit of fidelity. But yeah, anyone is welcome to send me the passage name and something to better it.

2019-11-05 07:12:42 +0000 UTCDamn dude, a hundred hours is no joke. That's almost a full time job. I haven't checked out the new update yet, but I just wanted to ask. Some areas have a lot of story and development, but not a lot of media. Is that a choice you made purposefully? or just you couldn't find media you liked that also fit. Like, Craig's path is one of my favorites, but it has mostly still images, vs having animated gifs/webm's like other storylines. Which is one of the reasons I liked the bimbo taylor bits I think.

2019-11-05 05:29:52 +0000 UTCSort of. I asked them to clarify their rules because it is very subjective. They never did. The example they give is Game of Thrones. Jaime and Cersei can have as much sex as they want because that's "artistic" whereas a game with with less incest is "obscene." They have the same issues with rape. But I honestly believe that Transfigure is literature, it is artistic, and it does not glorify rape or incest while the amount of content that exists relative to other themes is pretty small. I'm not sure if I'd survive an audit of the Orwellian council of Trust and Safety though. If they were honest, I think it is no problem. But given how random and subjective their rules are, I do feel creatively curtailed and under constant threat of losing my funding just because I am pursuing my original creative vision. Luckily, I care about artistic integrity and my fans far more than Patreon's dumb rules. There are dozens of genuinely offensive games on this site with little artistic merit so if they ban me they have serious issues with their priorities.
