Status Report

Hey everyone!

Quick status update here. The update is almost done! Although it is taking longer than I thought, this mainly due to my writing process and not a lack of time. I got a bit distracted and started randomly working on Julie content because I felt a bit bad I just enabled polls for my subscribe star and the one valiant patron that supports me there only wanted Julie and I have neglected them and that route a bit. So I found a hot pic set and wrote some dialogue for it. Very high chance this appears in the update.

Production wise, things are going pretty well in general. I have a large bank of continually expanding written content that is nearing the end of its development cycle. The only problem is the final editing and polishing stage takes me a lot of additional time. It is the only truly inefficient part of my system. A lot of content gets finished to about 75% and then stalls as it goes from super fun creative writing to feeling a lot more like work. I also have a lot of media cobbled together from random places (including reader submissions) that will both flesh out and inspire current and future scenes. I have so much in development that previous post about upcoming scenes is like a teaser of a teaser.

I know there are those out there that want me to focus and complete routes. I want this too, especially as I have broadened the narrative with a lot more choices. I am doing my best and am including multiple endings in the next update and will try and add around one per update or so just to gradually reduce the number of routes in progress and make it easier for both myself and readers to keep straight.  

The newest update is so far focused on Mitch and I have only added his branches to the engine. As it is already the 17th and I am still fiddling with scenes, I will do a Corps vote in the next day or so with the scenes closest to completion to pick which I finish off and focus on to fill out the other large part of the update. Along with the Mitch scene there will be a Julie scene and something for the director. The rest will probably be from the last post. I recommend voting for the bimbo stuff, the Julie impersonation, or continuing with Lucas/ Victoria because there is some spicy content on those routes.

I always follow my spirit animal (a hummingbird with ADD  xD)! So I go where my imagination leads me - that’s how this project exists at all so I can’t go against the bird but I try and temper that will with the will of the Corps and the Director to provide some focus.

That is a roundabout way of saying you should always take my timelines with a grain of salt. Recently I set aside a few hours per day to finish editing and complete the next update, instead I wrote, started, and added onto a lot of scenes… that had nothing to do with the current update D: I feel like I have a magic spaghetti pot and I try and hold the lid down but it doesn’t quite work… leading to a spaghetti explosion.

Oh well, more content for all… nearly every month I produce more than I release in an update. This content has accumulated to the point I think the update pace should rise a bit going forward, although not all of it is high rated in the polls since nobody knows of its existence. I am also going to try and add a few extra hours here and there as the page income rises. I also want to dedicate a small but increasing amount of time to working on my alt project demos.

Closest to a release is what is basically a dark version of Healslut with no graphics (yet). I need to do a lot more work on this in order to compete which is a good thing.

Other than that uh, sorry for the delay and I expect an update within 2-3 days and I am shooting for earlier. I will throw in a few more hours tonight with the hope of finally reaching one of Mitch’s “true” (originally envisioned) endings.
