Back in the saddle
Added 2018-09-09 20:00:45 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I am back from my not so restful vacation. It wasn't super productive on the writing front but I had an interesting idea for another AIF game so I made an outline page (basically the document I start most of my projects with). Yet another really cool thingy that I probably wont talk about in detail for a couple years until I finish core Transfigure and the next ideas in line. This new outline/game will definitely need a non crappy combat system so it might turn up in RPG maker or sugarcube with turn based combat.... one day.
(If anyone knows of a demo of a tbc system in a sugarcube game's code let me know since I have spent more hours than I am comfortable admitting trying to port code from other sources. I thought I had a fair idea how to do this but after delving into some of this stuff it is pretty obvious why a lot of writers farm this coding work out :P). I am pretty sure I can learn how to do almost anything if I put in the time and effort but I would rather write cool stories than fiddle with broken code.
For Transfigure I wrote about six or seven pages involving some of the Agency spy stories (some of my personal faves) including a new character I haven't put in yet based on Taylor Swift which will fall into the Dancer/singer/murder mystery route with the other choices. There is also a little bit about assassin modchipped Taylor sinking a little too deep into the role and trying to battle against his new, sharpened instincts. Will Taylor become a murderous psycho or a badass spy? :O
I also spent some time mapping out missing middle scenes for Evan/Ryan/Julie and I think I came up with a few decent ideas. The cherry on top is I wrote another 5-6 endings that will fill in some of the alt paths once the core stories are done.
I have more than enough raw content to get a 10k update by the end of the month, so I will keep everyone posted as I word process my camping notes and finish up some more content.
Now that I am back, I still have a lot of cleanup/unpacking etc to do plus many projects including this one lagging behind a bit so I will try and get back into the swing of things over the next few days. I also have a decent amount of emails and such to reply to so it will take a bit to go through them all.
As always, thank you very much for your interest in Transfigure and Tango Fiction! <3 Tango
