Mad Science Vs Magic?

Hello patrons of Tango Fiction,

I have been battling the worst cold I have ever had but thankfully, after a week of coughing and snotting everywhere, I am back into the swing of things... more or less :P  Luckily for a writer, being sick isn't a huge impediment to production compared to say, food service, heh.

I have been mainly working on the start of the Bell route and trying to get one of the larger stories I had already mostly written into the game.  There is a fair pile of content there, I think it is around 30-40k words.  The annoying part is just that it is written from a different perspective and the quality is inconsistent since I wrote a lot of it many years ago.

The Bell route has 2 main components: Sophie and Craig.  It begins with Taylor agreeing to look after/ babysit Craig ... leading Taylor into some awkward scenarios and to suspect that Craig is far more intelligent and cunning than he once suspected. Taylor does not anticipate Craig's sudden infatuation with his female form. If Taylor is perceptive and inquisitive, he can also learn more about Sophie and her apparent disappearance and Craig's role in the whole affair.

The content is based upon the X-Change series tutoring sections. This was content I found interesting but was annoyed that they made the characters look unnecessarily young and that a lot of content went nowhere except for the somewhat bizarre scene where the PC gets nailed by the father son duo and then for some reason agrees to become the creepy father's mistress immediately after. Maybe that end is potentially hot but the way it happens is absurd.

Which brings me around to the next thing I wanted to mention...  I want Transfigure to at least be somewhat realistic to encourage immersion.  As I mentioned in other posts, I have a lot of semi random short stories I plan to merge into Transfigure.  I have just been trying to answer the question: how the hell do I integrate them into the current story without it being ridiculous?

My original plan was just to rewrite a lot of it and cut out the bits that didn't make sense in the context of the current story.  But a few of the tales are fairly interesting because of the way they are set up (involving a different TF mechanic/scenario).  So it felt like a bit of a shame to take a good stand alone story and just gut it for erotic content and new characters.  But I think I figured out a cool way I can indeed connect it to the main story via Dr. Bloom's route and keep it mostly intact (mad science vs magic!).  It will probably take months to patch some of these stories but I think it will be worth it and it opens up the world into even more transformations and scenarios that may make your head spin.  When all is said and done, the only thing Transfigure will lack is time travel and an exploding sun - and those will probably be added eventually too.

Happy you're feeling better and looking forward to seeing that story side in-game! :)
