Transfigure Color /Appearance
Added 2018-06-03 06:27:51 +0000 UTCI want the game to be easily legible and not strain people's eyes or annoy them unnecessarily. It doesn't bother me, but after watching several tutorials on Twine I heard creators and commenters frequently call the default look ugly.... among other unflattering things.
I also want it to look good and professional. At one point I considered coloring the text and matching it to individuals like many twine games but I kind of think it looks sort of hokey and is a bit distracting, even if a bit more informative at a glance.
So, what say you fine folks?

Appreciate the feedback everyone. I also realized it is an odd quirk of English that we put the he said part at the end of the sentence. So sometimes it is only apparent to the reader afterwards who is speaking and they like mentally reread in the right voice. In real life it would be apparent by the voice. So I will probably add some colors at some point. Game wise I just finished the shopping and added a bunch of stuff in. Word count is still a bit under 10k so I am adding a couple more scenes before I put it out.

It gives the mind a bit of a break from walls of text and something new for the eyes to focus on. Just make sure not to make the colours too egregious, unless it's to make a point. Nothing quite as awful as trying to read letters in neon fuchsia.
