Albert/Lavina’s face lights up, and without hesitation, they pull everyone into a group hug. “Anywhere with these people feels like home to me.”
“Aw, Al/Lavi! You’re going to make me tear up!” Ada/Omar says, dramatically wiping an invisible tear from under their eye. “And honestly? Same.”
Enid rolls her eyes. “That clinginess of yours, humans, is most adorable but entirely unwelcome. Unhand me, mortal.” She gives a shake once she’s free. “Thank you. As for me, I’d say somewhere snowy. I’d live in Valegon if I could.”
“Somewhere snowy? I thought you’d say the sea,” you reply, head tilted in curiosity.
“I get it,” Rayco/Gara chimes in. “Up in a tree, watching a white mantle cover everything, that’s where I feel most at home.”
“And you, Leire/Luca?” you ask.
The warrior shrugs. “Sorrol’s always been my home.”
From the corner of the room, Belicar/Nisa snorts, their lip curling in disdain. “You’re all so... mortal.”
Ada/Omar arches an eyebrow. “Not so smiley now, huh, Smiley? So what’s your ideal place, then?”
Belicar/Nisa bares their sharp teeth in a snarl but, instead of lashing out, they glance away and mutter, “You poisoned it.”
The words are followed by an uncomfortable silence.
