Remnants of The Past was to be a visual novel, and even had two chapters released.

Just before Remnants became what it is now, it was first going to be a visual novel created with RenPy. In fact, I even got the first two chapters out before I changed the format and started using Twine! The reason for the change was because at that time I was having a lot of difficulties with the visual aspect of the program. Since I did everything by hand, and at that time my drawing skills weren't that good, I wasn't convinced by the backgrounds I made nor the non-copyrighted images I used, and I also didn't have the money to afford to pay another artist to make them or buy better ones, so in the end I decided to switch to a written novel instead. This helped me make the chapters easier and faster!

I still have the desire to make Remnants a visual novel in the future, now that I have not only better artistic skills to be able to make half-decent backgrounds, but also to make CGs of certain moments that come to my mind and that I think would be really cool!

But, of course, that will have to be in the very distant future, if it ever becomes a reality! After all, it would be a very ambitious project, but I'd be lying if I said I don't think about it from time to time, hehe :D
