AO laughs, not with mockery or amusement, but with pure joy. "It's because of my son. His name was chosen by my late spouse, and apparently, the god Jonay was responsible for bringing warmth to the families of Silbecan. They called him the prince of fire. It was their way to make me feel better about my magic. Things were... complicated back then," they respond, slightly pursing their lips as they massage their neck, but quickly regain their smile. AO settles more comfortably in the chair and shrugs. "Whether that god really existed or not, I have no idea. Maybe it was just the invention of a priest to promote faith, but the name felt right somehow."
"There are no records of any such god. It was probably a mortal mage whose story has been distorted over time," RG remarks before raising their eyebrows with delight. "But I'm pleasantly surprised. The meaning is correct. It suited him, and you too. Your fire is a good way to honour him."
"Yes... I believe so too," AO says, a tender smile forming on their face.
"And the 'prince' part had nothing to do with it?" AL asks.
AO laughs. "That irony didn't go unnoticed either."
