"Many people hate me, and not because of my magic, sweetheart," they respond with a chuckle, then they shrug. "If I wasn't a mage they'd find something else to hate me for, so I see no point in getting upset over it."
"Very sensible of you. Way too sensible, in fact."
"I'll take that as a compliment and ignore the surprise, Red." The doctor shoots a grin at LL before they meet your eye again. "Don't try to argue with those kinds of people, it's a waste of energy. Just let them be wrong about you. Plus, that only makes it more fun when they realise their mistake," they finish with a wink.
