(With exception of Revival - Actually one of the best albums of the 2010s) But I'm very curious and excited for this one and would love to see your reactions and thoughts when it is released. I was also confused by the contents of Call Me When You Break Up as this has been presented as an album about their relationship - but then when you talked about the track placement being at number 3, I was thinking maybe they're going to explain their relationship from the beginning and CMWYBU is like them seeing the other person with someone else before they actually got together?? Because they've worked together in the past so maybe that's why in the lyrics it sounds like they are familiar with the person they want to break up with their partner? But that could be a reach idk. Anyway, love the videos and you both!!

But some people like that vibe and just having the exciting production and sounds that she has leaned into with the DJs and those kind of songs, and they just may not be for me. She definitely doesn't have to preform them all together and I also don't think she would tour again- she stopped her 2016 tour because of the side effects. I do know it can cause vocal fatigue, inflammation and weakness. Perhaps this is the reason for her shorter songs? She obviously loves music, singing (and acting), but health wise, I think it can cause a strain on her body. I love that she continues to do what she loves regardless of her health - she has been through so much 💜 Side note, I'm super excited she feels ready to share new music with us and I am loving her and Benny together - he treats her so well! ❤️

I'm huge fan of Selena the person, can take or leave her music though, but I do think there is something vulnerable about that song because it openly admits that you're hoping someone else's relationship doesn't work out, which is savage but deeply relatable 😂

I was listening to the song and the last chorus/bridge/outro whatever, changed the whole song for me. Then I got on Genius and Selena had said its about her best friend going through a breakup and Gracie’s verse is from the best friend’s perspective 🤭

And anytime you react to them you always get so excited (way more excited) for their white collaborators. I.e., post Malone with Beyoncé, Finneas and Gracie with Selena and Benny. And you say you only know “Can’t Keep My Hands to Myself” because of Taylor. Which is absolutely wild because that was a massive massive song!! It's a good song, they could have built it up to an explosive bridge, or at least a longer outro. That's so frustrating to me! haha Also I love Selena, but this song really highlighted how Gracie is much better with words. The way she expresses her feelings in songs is much more creative and unexpected.

I'm a huge Selena fan since Disney channel years so I would love a whole album reaction :) Selena told in a pre listening party to the fans that this song is about one of her best friends so not about her waiting for an ex or something. She also said that this album is divided in 3 parts, first part is about before Selena & benny got together, second part how they got together and third how they see their future. There are also rumours about having Olivia as a feature and there will be a Spanish song in it. Hope these info helps a bit :) And if you ever want to react to more albums I would looove to see Revival, Rare and droplet era reactions!

BUT I think you guys have misunderstood the song on the first listen (which is fine!!): I don’t know how this ties to a lovey album between Selena and Bennie but in the last line Selena sings “unless you find a person that you want a new name from” - she’s singing to a girl! She’s singing to a friend! This song never felt like a song for Bennie, never even thought of that perspective until you guys said it, I think this is a song to her bestie. Now the exciting part is, Gracie is a feature and honestly I know she’s popular now but Selena could have picked anyone to be a feature and she picked Gracie. Now, who are both Selena and very clearly Gracie besties with 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Taylor :) I think this is a song for Taylor written possibly after Joe or Matty and I think Gracie was picked by Selena to emphasise to Taylor that she’s never going to be alone because she’s got her friends. Now we just need to figure out what name the voicemail says at the beginning, sounds like it’s reversed or something!!

She's always felt a little bit of a B star to me as far as her music, but I love her in general. I am going into the new album open minded, but I don't know if I'll love it yet. I do like these 2 songs, but Gracie makes "Call Me When You Break Up" 3 times as good with her voice and songwriting. I'm never disappointed by Gracie! So yeah, I would like your reaction to the album, mostly cause I'm curious. A Taylor collab would be AMAZING, but not holding my breath. Although people have wanted a collab from them for a long time.

2025-03-01 21:15:03 +0000 UTCi don't know a lot about selena as a musician, but i love only murders in the building and her cooking show on food network. she seems to be an honest, kind, sweet person, and i love her relationship with benny. i also love her heart for immigrants here in the u.s. both songs were fun, and gracie slayed her verse. it's nice to see gracie moving through the world of big producers and i'm not surprised at all that she and selena seem to be becoming good friends with as much time as gracie seems to spend in taylor's orbit. thanks for a fun little video and i would love to see you react to the whole album!

I think Selena's verse(s) are from the perspective of waiting for your friend to break up with their boyfriend so they can finally spend time together like before (in my mind I picture Selena waiting for Taylor to break up with Joe HELP) and then Gracie's verse is about an ex. Feels like that makes the song fit in with the album concept since it's not about Selena and Benny waiting for their exes to break up if that makes sense.

There are 9, count 'em 9, songwriters on this song, including Julia Michaels and Justin Trantor. But it seems clear that Gracie wrote her lyrics. Don't collab with Gracie unless you have serious songwriting and singing skills. That said, I do enjoy the song, even the Selena part.

That said, I have always loved her albums and I hope this one is good but I'm nervous because her songs from the last year or two have been mediocre when usually they're pretty good. I had been seeing Selena's insta reels and seeing Gracie on this song made me very curious, I do really like Gracie's part in this song, probably my favourite part🧚🏻♀️ I had listened to 'Scared of loving you' which is even shorter, twas a bit slow for me. I know Selena has been hinting and whatever that song was she gave a snippet of in that car 'Talk' I think, the way she says 'proud', if anyone has seen that reel, I AM HOOKED ON THAT!
