A set only because she makes a nod to TTPD in the Eras film by saying she's dropped 5 albums...we all know she knew how many albums she dropped at that point. I believe that's one of the reasons we were never able to buy the film - it was never meant to be the FINAL version of the eras tour.

I kind of feel the answer is a combination of both choices. As the surprise songs bit is the most contained (no dancers/band/lighting/more simple) you could cut down a few songs from other eras slightly to make room for a TTPD set here and perhaps just have one surprise song outside of that album. Also gives her a chance to see which TTPD songs are resonating vs determining a defined set for those songs before fans have had much time with them. Also the fact that the movie has the new bit at the end with extra surprise songs means you could the movie by slotting in a new TTPD part and leave the surprise songs after the credits and not disrupt the whole flow too much.

I have been thinking since the Eras Tour started that the set list would change before the end of the tour, either as we entered 2024 or ahead of the European leg. Then she did a lot of things that convinced me of this: - She announced an Eras tour movie and released it in theatres not even halfway through the tour. - Songs were cut from the movies and gradually added into it; we could say she did it so she could sell it thrice. Or maybe it was a hint on which songs would not make it to the next version of the tour (except for Long Live which I believe was only cut to be in the credits without being redundant). - She announced a brand new album in the middle of a world tour, and the release date is exactly in the middle of a two-month break. - During that time the tour movie also made it to Disney+, which means that a fair number of Swifties who are going to the show after the 15th of March, will likely have seen it several times not only on their phones through a grainy live stream but in ultra HD in cinemas or at home. - I also cannot stop thinking that the 2 fingers she's been holding (and all the references to the number two we've seen recently), could mean 2 versions of the Eras tour show and not a double album like we've been clowning for. If you still think it is too complicated logistically, remember that a lot of artists have released an album in the middle of a tour and subsequently changed the setlist of the concert, think about Beyoncé (with her self-titled album coming out during the Mrs. Carter World Tour) or Harry Styles (releasing Harry's House during Love On Tour) for example. I also think the tour will extend to 2025, and that we'll not be getting Rep TV and debut TV until then.

The tube ran longer when Beyoncé performed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London (which isn't in the inner city either). I do not believe that extending the hours during which the tube lines run is a big problem, as she contributes significantly to the economy of the cities she visits.

TBH, fitting TTPD into a new set would be too complicated logistics-wise, because she can't add more length to the show, some cities have regulations for end of shows time (thinking of Paris/London metro/tube situations where they have to manage transportation hours (Wembley is not in the inner city). She will add them into the accoustic set for sure, though!!!!!

There is so much work that goes into production, from set design, clothes, to choreography, I highly doubt that she went into planning the tour in 2022 that it will need to be changed, it’s just too much work - not for her - but in terms of production etc.

SHES 100% ADDING IT TO THE SET LIST AND LET ME TELL YOU WHY !! playing tim mcgraw and mirrorball for the last show as an ode to the first show?? she's had breaks like this in tour before and never really addressed it in this way. also worth noting that the mashup mania has been a wild thing to do over the last couple of months, I wonder if surprise songs will look a bit different coming back as well? the other big indicator for a change to the setlist is the movie of the tour now being out on streaming lining up with the break as well. I feel like she's now put the whole tour out to the world for everyone to see even more so than it had been before, almost to signify that it's the end of that era? slightly more unhinged theory is also that the ✌️ is referring to a part 2 of the tour/movie. i suspect she will change the setlist a lot more than people are expecting - maybe swap some songs she's been doing in the other eras too. this is the second year of the tour and i can't imagine she will keep it all so similar for a whole second year of shows. also she's got a new album coming and given the promotion around it and everything there's just no way she won't add it to the setlist in its own way and give it a huge spotlight!!

The current form of The Eras Tour is what most fans are expecting to see, and honestly, it's what most of them paid for back when tickets went on sale. I know that the way we consume concerts nowadays through endless video uploads, TikToks, and livestreams is not the way they're intended to be consumed, but its very much an unfortunate reality of the now. Additionally, Taylor's choice to film and release the Eras Tour movie capturing this current state of the tour only adds to this idea that there is a specific, expected experience for the people who have yet to attend their shows. To do anything that drastic to the setlist is to fundamentally change the product that people have paid to see. It also screws over everybody who HAS already seen her in the US, LatAm, Australia, or Asia--because unless she embarks on a third year of touring for Eras in 2025, or fans in those countries want to fork up thousands of dollars for travel and resale tickets, those fans will NEVER get to see TTPD stuff live. And I highly doubt she would add it to the setlist just to go on a brand new, unrelated, separate tour right afterwards to play those same songs. It's not really the same as her cutting Invisible String after two weeks (so short that barely anyone remembers it and only 4 out of a total of 152 shows got it; its basically equivalent to YOYOK and Maroon as secret songs), or adding Long Live after SNTV (a song that has been out for a decade and played multiple times across previous tours and general recorded live events, giving fans ample experiences to have seen it live in some regard). This would be an entirely new, never-seen-live album that only the lucky few going to the last half of the tour would get to see. At least if she only plays them as secret songs, there's a high chance she'll do a proper tour for it and TS12 in like 2026 or something.

I just think that if things are getting serious with Travis, it’s logical that she adds TTPD to the Eras Tour so she doesn’t have to tour the new album in a couple of years. We know both of them have talked about how they wanna have a family so it’s the perfect solution to not have to commit to a new tour in the future 🤷🏻‍♀️ and she’ll still do the remaining songs on the acoustic set

It makes sense for TTPD to have its own set. That's the point of releasing a brand new album during the tour. I'm sure everyone wants something new for the tour, which has already been going on for a year, to keep things exciting. Let's not forget the two-month break during which Taylor and her team can totally create and prepare for it. Probably a set of 2-3 songs, like Speak Now, just not to keep our hopes too high :)

Its so hard to know without knowing what the album sounds like. I know she was able to perform evermore and folklore (which were both considered 'non performing albums') but I do feel those were easing to bring to life on tour because they were storytelling songs which you could add visuals to quite easily. I dont know if tortured poets would be that easy to perform or create visuals for, especially for a whole set on the tour. Even though red got its own set she mostly chose upbeat songs from red and I dont know if tortured poets will have enough of those kind of songs. Furthermore if she does add it in as a whole set, then I highly doubt she would make the show longer but would rather cut some of the songs in the other sets, and I literally dont know what songs she would cut to do that. I also found it interesting that she filmed the concert movie already, I mean if she was planning on adding in another era, wouldn't she wait to film the movie then? I mean she could just film another movie but I doubt it. I will however say that I do think she will do something to keep the tour interesting as she still has so many shows to go, and I know shes been doing the mashups but I do feel like she will do something mid europe to spice things up (outside of a possible rerecord announcement). On the note of mashups I am conflicted on how I think she will do the secret songs. I do think she will want to perform a tortured poets song in full, but I also think she might want to mash it up with another song to give us some more backstory (so instead of a secret message in the album cover she does a secret song link). Maybe she does one full ttpd song and the other secret song is a mashup? She's also only got 20 ttpd songs so maybe after she has performed all of them in full she will start mashing them up? Back to why I dont think she will add it as a set is that she spent months rehearsing for the eras tour to perfect it and I just dont see how she would have had the time to rehearse a whole new set. Lastly I have been pondering whether or not she might switch up how she does the secret songs. Maybe she will do one acoustic ttpd song with visuals and a bit more of a performance and possibly a new outfit and then a suprise song or vice versa. Maybe each city gets a different ttpd song which gets played every night she is in that city? I do think she will include ttpd in the tour as it is the eras tour and this is her newest era but how she will incorporate it is anyones guess. All I know is she is a genius and whatever she does will be perfect 👌 🤍

I feel like you could make an argument she didn't really choose all the most popular songs from Midnights and just did what she wanted or thought was best for the show, she might have even started prepping the tour before that album even released. like I think a lot of people are surprised mastermind and vigilante shit are on setlist over maroon and your on your own kid. So I feel like she could probably do something similar for TTPD and guess what the biggest songs will be or just chose what songs she think make the most sense artistically for a set.

This does seem to be a minority opinion, but it just feels so crazy to me that she wouldn't add a tortured poets set. It will be her newest era, the album that is freshest on most fans minds and to just not include it as part of the setlist seems like something she wouldn't do. It is the eras tour and the tortured poets will be an era. I also think she and her team could add it in a way that doesn't require a major reworking of the entire show, like cutting one song from some of the bigger setlist or just drastically reducing one one of the other eras to make room for it. I see people say she doesn't have enough time to prep this because she only has a two month break, but she's known this album has been coming out for a while and could have been preparing to change the show for quite a while now.

I don't think the length of the performance will be an issue, as if you have been paying attention to the duration of each show, they always fluctuate between 3 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours 27-28 minutes (this is after the addition of Long Live) (for international shows, the last show in a city is usually shorter than the previous ones). If we compress the time of the existing setlist and insert an Act like Speak Now Act (or the first 2 songs of folklore act) that doesn't require a lot of dancing and physical stamina, there shouldn't be any problems. (And all tours in areas with chaotic climates have ended) But I am curious if adding TTPD to the setlist will give us a new The Eras Tour Movie... The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) has some editing issues in the later added songs. For example, the transition between The Archer and Fearless Transition is not smooth (actually, if the volume of Fearless Transition is raised to match The Archer, it wouldn't be weird) and the transition between Wildest Dreams and Bad Blood is also not done well, they were supposed to be connected...

I didn’t originally think she would, but the Easter Egg of “five new albums I haven’t toured” is tripping me up. If she adds it I don’t think any changes will be made to the other Eras. What’s another 2 or so songs when you’re already performing 45!? The Era needs to be after Bad Blood and the Lover house burning down though or it doesn’t make sense. So, either side of the secret songs, still ending with Midnights.

First of all, I'll be happy whatever she does because mother never misses. But something tells me she might fuck us up and just drop the new era during the next concert and nobody will know until the intro music starts playing, with new visuals and stuff also. As much as I want her to add it to the set (I haven't been to a show & won't be so I'm not upset about losing out on either the rest of the eras or on poets) but I don't think she will... she hasn't made significant changes to the set so far, and with how much we know she rehearsed for it, I don't think it's happening. She put a lot of work into making the tour exactly how she wanted it and since she didn't finish poets until at least a few months into the tour, I seriously doubt she'll include a whole new set, which would probably include changing the rest of the sets as well (taking out songs, changing transitions, etc.) I also have a personal delusion about how she's going to do tours going forward in light of her releasing music at a faster pace (all I'm saying is if TS12 is about falling in love again, she could do a tour called Love and Poetry - referencing the line in the poets announcement of course - and tour both albums)

This is a tough one. I was initially leaning toward adding a TTPD set but that would be so disruptive, and some fans would be disappointed to miss out on what songs would need to be cut. And Taylor hates disappointing her fans. Artists generally go on tour to promote new albums. Historically Taylor has begun a tour anywhere from 4-7 months after album release. She could conceivably wrap up Eras Tour December in Vancouver, then come back say in February to tour for Tortured Poets, using surprise songs to generate album sales and streams in the meantime. But that’s going to be maybe 10 months after release, which seems like a long time. Then maybe touring TTPD would be kind of anticlimactic. Unless she has no plans to do a new tour anytime soon. That girl deserves a rest. In the end, it’s Taylor’s World and I’m just along for the ride. She has more $$ and more love than she knows what to do with. She literally has nothing left to prove. I ended up voting for surprise songs but I think it could go either way.

I think if it’s added to the set list, it’ll be a couple of songs added to the acoustic set. Like she’ll perform two different TTPD songs and then the surprise songs each night. I don’t think it’ll have its own set like all of the other eras do with costumes, choreography, stage visuals, etc

The Eras Tour movie had an entire rollout from theaters to streaming and does not include a TTPD set. So I don’t see it happening. People point to her saying 5 albums in the “champagne problems” speech, but I think that’s just because it’s a rounder number than 4. I also selfishly don’t want it to happen because then I’ll feel like I missed out. 😅 It feels weird to only have part of the world get the new set. I think it’s more realistic that she tours TTPD and another album on her next tour.

in my head, i picture the clock hitting zero and starting to tip away, the big reputation mashup starts to play, BUT instead of lover butterfly wings coming on stage, the dancers walk out flying albatross kites (like the performers in the broadway version of the lion king fly bird kites), taylor comes up on the lift in the diamond perched inside a birdcage, busts out its door, and launches into fresh out the slammer!! delulu, i know, but the whole crowd would drop dead! idk how it could be the eras tour if she didn't add a set for the new album, but i guess she didn't have a set for debut, so who knows?

there is sooooo much left to go of this tour, i can't imagine her literally not including her current era in the ERAS tour!!!! even shaving one song off each of the eras that have longer sets leaves us with space for 5-6 fixed songs for ttpd plus still the acoustic set... it is also going to be topping the charts, it just wouldn't make sense for it to not be a permanent fixture on the tour with a proper set and costumes when this album is surely going to be the MOMENT!

As much as we love the acoustic set, I wonder if she may cut that section to make room for a TTPD era. Her last two months felt like she was going “all out” with the surprise songs. She re-played her favorites, fan favorites, gave us so many iconic mashups, etc. It felt like a farewell to the surprise songs to make room for TTPD.

I really don't know. But it would feel strange for her to have the #1 album in the world out there and she's only performing maybe 1 or 2 songs a night of it during secret songs? You'd think she could put together a 4-song set maybe since I doubt TTPD songs will be a bunch of songs with tons of choreography or razzle dazzle. Maybe a few of them will be bops. Not sure. I think she’s spending this time off practicing the new songs as its own set. She’s said before that her most recent album is the album that is most relevant to her, and I can’t see her pushing it into the surprise song set. I think she will cut some songs from the other sets (this is why it’s immortalized on streaming) and it’ll have its own set. Speaking of lol I think you two should have your camera on whilst watching the first show back just in case the entire set is different. Songs she could cut: archer (rip), the man(?), some of folklore, maybe tolerate it, one of the Red singles, delicate (RIP my fave song), wildest dreams, maybe cut down shake it off, mastermind. My idea is the set will be after SS but before Midnights (to still end on Karma!)

Personally, I think it will just be as surprise songs. At the very most maybe adding one extra song to the acoustic set to dedicate to TTPD… but I don’t think she will. The tube ran longer when Beyoncé performed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London (which isn't in the inner city either). I do not believe that extending the hours during which the tube lines run is a big problem, as she contributes significantly to the economy of the cities she visits.

There is so much work that goes into production, from set design, clothes, to choreography, I highly doubt that she went into planning the tour in 2022 that it will need to be changed, it’s just too much work - not for her - but in terms of production etc.
