It’s so interesting how so many things are not obvious at all but yet so obvious. Y’all talk about this frequently. And I don’t see this with any other artist. I feel like there’s something special and intriguing there. Like is it because she’s SO smart and SO vulnerable and because of her very close, intimate relationship with her fans? People make fun of us but it should really be studied. There’s a reason we feel so connected, and delusionally think we are all actual friends of her. But she encourages it and makes us feel that way. I see why people alleges she’s a witch and we’re a cult (LOL) because it’s true, real live magic. It’s beautiful really. That’s how I would describe my eras tour experience. It was beautiful. Taylor was unreal. And I suffer from so much mental health stuff and have so many traumas. I am a homebody and I don’t like people or going out. But somehow, while being surrounded by 69k Swifties, I felt as comfortable as if I was jamming in my house alone. It was a safe haven, and it was magic, and it was joy. You can’t explain it to someone who hasn’t experienced it.

Detroit was my weekend and I managed to go to both shows! Haunted is in my top 2 favorite songs, and I was manifesting it so hard! Although I hoped she would play in on the piano. I lost my mind when she announced Haunted! You have to remember this was right after the Matty break up, and the girl was going through the feels this weekend! You could feel it, especially during the surprise songs. It seemed so obvious though she was upset about Joe, Matty was just a distraction. It seemed like she was finally grieving her relationship with Joe.

I think it's important for context to note that these were the first shows after the Matty breakup was announced. The invasive video of her crying in her car that was scrubbed from the internet was also taken this weekend in Detroit. Having this in mind, the Haunted lyrics hit especially hard: "He will try to take away my pain And he just might make me smile But the whole time I'm wishing he was you instead". She was definitely doing some fathoming for a few weeks there.

I think rep vault is gonna be heavily frightful Adam coded. I think that's where we'll see the processing of her relationship with him come out more. I also feel a bit like we won't get TS11 until the tour is over or near the end. Midnights is still only a year old, and I think it would be difficult to incorporate TS11 into the tour, especially since she's already filmed the tour - it wouldn't make sense to have portions of the tour entirely unfilmed. I also think TS11 will be a bit like a rebirth after she's done collecting horcruxes with her old albums, so it makes sense to wrap up the rerecords first. BUTTTTTTTTT if Taylor wants to bless us with TS11 tomorrow there will be ZERO complaining over here.

Happy New Year 🐥💛 Breathe- such an underrated song! 🥹 As far as TS11… I was REALLY hoping onto the hope that it would be Karma - released between 1989 TV & Rep TV, to line it up chronically to her life and tie it up beautifully with Karma being track 11 on Midnights. However, if TS11 happens to be what 2023 became to mean for her, then I really hope we get an album that is more sultry and sexy (like False God and Glitch vibes). I think what she’s experiencing with Travis is very intense- a full on burning love 😍 so it would be amazing to hear the influence of that love in her music!

Good to see you back! I would love to see a discussion of the re-recordings, because I think people do sleep on how good some of the changes are. I see articles about how the re-recordings are "note for note re-creations", and I'm like "Have you actually listened to them?". Fearless TV was a note for note re-creation for the most part, but with every re-recording she has gotten more and more creative with changes. Clean TV, HYGTG TV, Welcome to New York TV all have changes that make them feel really different to me; brighter and sunnier, if that makes sense. Also, something I noticed in this refathoming that I completely missed the first time around is that she sings "It's getting dark and its all SO quiet" in Haunted, which is the rerecorded lyrics, not the original lyrics "all TOO quiet". I did not see anyone picking this up at the time.

To chat about your convo about her writing about Joe in TS11 - I think I agree that we will get little nuggets based on what she says about Travis, but I don't know that we are going to get full blown break up songs. With her releasing You're Losing Me ( and previously) Hits Different when she did I think that was her way of "closing" that chapter of her life. Midnights, Evermore, and Folklore all have nods to issues in the Joe relationship and I think, like Bonnie says, so much has happened since then. But of course you never really know until the songs are released!

It would be kind of iconic if Taylor released TS 11 titled “Karma” right after having dropped 1989 TV (and before Rep TV) ..because it would be like a repeat of the past, except that this time Karma (the missing album) would actually get released 👀😅 Also, karma would tie into the sky/stars/celestial/invisible string elements that she’s been alluding to in her clothing I think Karma as an album could also work as a sister album to Midnights. Midnights is a reflection of past relationships, and Karma could be what happens in the aftermath of those events/relationships 👀😅

i was there night 2!!!! i love AYHTDWS it’s in my 1989 top 5!! however, one of my fav parts of the song is the production so i didn’t love the acoustic version of it. breathe was SO SUPERIOR!! i didn’t go with my sister, but that’s her fav taylor swift song!! when she went up singing hand in the 2nd pre-chorus, my jaw dropped! any change taylor makes to a song makes me feel unreal cuz it’s just so superior!!!!
