I don't know why a subset of the fandom couldn't just let her be happy and instead had to tear apart Matty and their relationship. A little internet research would enlighten a lot of people to the truth about Matty who has apologized for things that he didn't even do to make amends and try to clear his name from all of the out of context criticisms he's taken.

I think she really was happy with him and the fans ruined it because they can't think critically and only read headlines and twitter threads that parrot half truths instead of understanding the full story and context behind clickbait.

Aka TS11 was an Aaron-ish album before becoming Jack/Midnights. So my speculation is that The Great War was likely written before YLM and about a period of fighting they got through, but then things might have gotten bad again towards the end of the year with YLM.

And ultimately, yes, we know she is often an autobiographical songwriter, but she is very capable of weaving in fiction to tell a good story or pull from other people’s experiences. Because she’s an amazing writer. She can also write a song in 2021 about a past relationship. It's getting in touch or unraveling the emotions that the music conveys, not the person who may or may not have made her feel that way. She always talks about how the songs were once about her life, but from the moment she releases them she hopes they become about us, our lives, our moments with her on tour, etc. Loving someone who doesn't appreciate or love you enough is theme of many other songs like 'say don't go' (supposedly about Harry) and 'high infidelity' (supposedly about Calvin). In 'now that we don't talk' she literally says "the more I gave, you would want me less". All of these songs relate to the emotion behind 'tolerate it' so it could be inspired by anyone, but now all fans want to talk about is they're 100% sure it's about Joe Alwyn. It simply shouldn't matter who it might be about, especially when Taylor herself distanciates the song from it's 'muse'. *The inspiration for the song isn't as simple and basic as a paternity test* and i just find it really annoying when people get so obsessed with her personal life instead of just apreciating the remarkable art that she creates. It should be all about the music, that's all I'm saying.

Some people are like shocked that a 6 year relationship had ups and downs, even tho Taylor already talked about it on songs (presumed to be) about Joe and the People Magazine article about the breakup (planted by Tree) stated that: "They've had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together". There's something anyone whos been in a long term relationship can relate to. And now people are clowning that songs like 'tolerate it' or 'hoax' are about him, which is something Taylor herself and/or Aaron/Jack denied by sharing the true inspiration behind it. I feel like people are always cherry picking the details shared by Taylor to fit the narrative of what they think happened in her life: "oh she said this but it was only a cover up" or "she said this to throw us off". Either you believe her or you don't. And if she did lie or said things to throw us of is probably because she didn't want anyone especulating about it and we should respect that. Mind you she wrote YLM in 2021 and then proceded to write songs like lavander haze, mastermind, labyrinth and sweet nothing (with Joe Alwyn!). There's no way of knowing what was going on with them and truth be told it's no ones business but theirs. Idk, with the gaylors and the relationship patrol this fandom is getting really annoying :(

I Think He Knows especially, because of course by releasing the song, she is in fact telling him (as she sings "I don't have to tell him"), so if he didn't know before, he sure should know after you sing it in his face. And then "He'd better lock it down or I won't stick around", and "I'd marry him with paper rings". We should have known, and really she should have known, that after you sing those songs and he doesn't ask you to marry him, he is never going to.

There is so much going on, not all about Taylor. Olivia's Hunger Games song is so great, and then there is her cover of Stick Season in the Live Lounge and Noah responding by covering Lacy. of Lacy. Maybe you could do an Olivia catch-up video, where you react to her SNL performance on December 9 and catch up with those other things, even if you have already seen them. Also, Lana released a cover of Take Me Home, Country Roads (and I am so old that this song was actually a significant part of my childhood), Maisie released deluxe songs from the Good Witch that are just as good or better than the main songs, and Gracie and Noah Kahan just released a collab song. I'd be glad to hear your thoughts about any of those things.
