I was at Nashville night 2 and the one thing the girls overlooked because they were laughing too hard at the Travis Swift thing is Taylor singing “I swore I was going to marry him one day but then I realized some bigger dreams of mine.” It was a whole moment in the stadium. It felt like Taylor took an extra long pause before saying the line and as soon as she said it the whole stadium erupted. It felt very raw and authentic.

I remember y’all posting your reaction to night two right after I got to the airport to fly home (it was like 1am Nashville time, 2am at home) and I RAN to the comments to talk about Out of The Woods because I was SO. HAPPY. I could talk about it with someone. I went to the show alone so all of my friends and family were asleep. That song made a mark on me the SECOND I heard it back in 2014 (I’ve been a Taylor fan since Fearless, but I was also a massive fun. fan who became a massive Bleachers fan, so hearing Taylor singing on what is essentially a Bleachers song blew me the fuck away) and has been in my top 5 overall since. So when she said the thing about the chorus repeating I started CRYING. AND I was in the front row at the end of the catwalk so she was RIGHT THERE. Oh my god. I died.

I just listenned to a podcast where they said the same thing about touring, that the touring industry change so much and it'll never be the same! With what Taylor, Beyoncé and U2 are doing it's interresting. I agree with this. I think it's okay to be excited for her because we all love love and we want her to be happy. However, we need to step back and stop saying they are "end game" or he's the one and analyzing every move he makes as if he's so great. He's doing what he should be doing. It's like the bare minimum of how to treat a woman. I really like them together because I think he has a great personality, and he likes to have fun just like she does. But in the end, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. We only know what we see on the TV. I am keeping my sister's dog while she's out of town this weekend, and the dog kept barking to go outside, so I paused this video and took her for a walk. When I got back and sat down in front of the computer, I had paused at 13:13. The universe understands its job!! For me Fifteen is so meaningful! Because I listened to it for the first time when I was 8 lmao and I wanted to be fifteen so bad and thought it would be just like the song. I hate to tell you - football players don't pack out stadiums like her... the stadiums are always mixed teams mixed fans ... so Travis or any nfl persona has nothing on her.... Also NFL is VERY problematic in American culture. I would be careful about all the praise for him this early.... he is very triggering for many women... not to get too deep into it (because I know everyone will hate this idea) but many women struggle with the toxic masculinity and aggressive behavior of the football culture. Because of my job working with sexual assault survivors... we need not always celebrate the way someone holds her hand or acts protective. Those are often control signs. I am in NO way saying Travis is a bad person, I'm just hearing so many girls sadness that their idol who was always the outsider who was a role model of female success of creativity and art who didn't need to succumb to that expected toxic role.... it's complicated, it's a unique American thing - not many people think football or the players are good thing. I try to be empathetic to the whole thing. Let's not talk about her getting married ... she's only been with him a few weeks as long as Matty Healy...and she said she doesn't want that 1950s shit. Why does she have to be a one night or wife??? Why can't we just support her casually dating?? I think all this excitement is misplaced and alienating. Personally I'm here for the music and the critiques - thought I'd add a perspective that may not be heard. Re: Labyrinth (though everything is up for interpretation) I’ve still been reading it as about Joe, but referring to the ups and downs of their relationship. If we are now fathoming that perhaps they were a bit on and off again over years, I think the “falling in love again, I thought the plane was going down, how’d you turn in right around” could be her going back and forth about whether to end it or stick with it (essentially debating whether she was falling out of love while they were together). That’s really the only thing that helps me make sense of the verses “You know how scared I am of elevators” (he knows her so well because of how long they’d been together), and “It only feels this raw right now” (perhaps one of the periods where she felt it was over, before she fell back into it). Apologies for the rant.

Taylor didn't start surprise songs on the Reputation Tour, she's actually been doing that since the Red Tour! 1989 Tour she kinda just chose the surprise songs from a handful of songs and a few random picks, she didn't sing a new thing every night, but surprise songs have been around since 2013!
