Only then did she give the ok for the news of the breakup to be released, because if she was starting something with someone else, that made it clear that this time her and Joe were definitely not getting back together. It would make sense to hold off on announcing the breakup during the two week tour break she had here in April to let the shock/chaos simmer before her next show where all eyes would on her hyper-fixating on any clues that she might be struggling with the heartbreak.

When I finally figured out what the reason was, it was stupid and meant this person was never really my friend, or at least not as good of one that I thought. 2023-09-17 00:11:38 +0000 UTCwhen taylor did clean the first time, a girl on tiktok was like crying and freaking out about it (duh obviously) & taylor commented on the tiktok saying she played it in a lower key than she wanted to, so she counted that as a mess up and that she'll do it again. the girl even replied to that comment with all the show dates she was going to and then taylor played clean again when the girl from tiktok was there.

I think Taylor's team intentionally let out the announcement the weekend they did because she didn't have a show that weekend so she didn't have to perform during that initial chaos and they could leak the movie shoot images the same time as a distraction. I don't think any of that was a coincidence - just Taylor and her team trying to drop the news that was destined to come out at the time they preferred. I went to night two of Glendale and as someone who has seen Taylor many times before I thought she seemed off, just a bit lifeless in the face through the show (could have been first weekend nerves though).
