From what I have heard about this, it was something the fans pointed out to her either after Red or after 1989 (someone else might know the timeline for sure). So, definitely from Rep on, she did it intentionally. Red and prior, it was either a coincidence or just a good spot to put a song like that. Related…I think Taylor has also said that the last track is how she’s feeling when she finishes the album. I’ve heard someone else say that track 3 is often where record labels/artists will put the single. These last two things are just what I’ve heard from YouTubers and I don’t have sources. The track 5 thing is something I’ve heard/seen multiple people confirm.

I have something to say. It doesn’t even really pertain to this video but I would like to point out that Taylor once said (and I can’t remember where I saw her say this) that we don’t always guess who the songs are about correctly because we only know about the relationships that were photographed. I always took the "fear that crept in" that made her run from Taylor was having been dumped by JJ. I assumed she was afraid of letting someone else in and falling too hard too fast again, so she ran. Unfortuately she was too star-struck and flattered by JM's sophisticated Fboy ways to realize that was the time she really needed to run.

I know, I was thinking the same thing! But, although she does look about 13 here, she's actually 20 and certainly capable of having such fantasies, it's just not the image the public had of her at the time. I tend to think she didn't even pitch this song to her label, probably never recorded a demo or anything, it was her guilty pleasure that she only shared with Abigail or something, until she and we were ready. That's how I imagine the scenario anyway.

I think her first home she lived in alone was in Nashville! It probably took so long between buying and moving in because she had it renovated before she moved in. It was made to have more of her whimsical style that she embodied at the time, and even had a human sized birdcage! You can see a lot of that same bird cage energy in this video. Haha.
