2023-07-14 00:28:43 +0000 UTCAw the little robot couldn't go with his friend to see the stars in space, so he went to see the star (Harry) on stage first to find the rover!! They eat Harry at the end (watch the sign change at the end, like he's showing two sides to the same coin or the hidden face), and the only reason Harry is half-human is that he's the "Catch of the Day" so to speak, so he's special all the way up until he isn't anymore, then he's just like all the other fish. I took that out of it too! Also, yes, definitely weird artsy vibes

I will add that yes, the mini robot was on stage (it was night 14 at the Forum in LA) and on the floor after the show. People who were there have little videos and everyone was wondering what exactly it was going to be for! Also, the cinematography of the whole video is so good - like they went on location to so many national parks in the US for the video and brought the robot to live shoot it!

2023-05-26 22:12:49 +0000 UTCWhen he starts singing to the restaurant staff it reminds me of mermaid sirens who were meant to have this magical power over sailors through their voices, but then when he starts losing his voice during the performance, I think the spell is broken. It seems like the chopping imagery comes back in that section of the MV, so I wonder if it's meant to symbolize how easily you can be discarded in the music industry even if you've gotten really big.

I was seated though and didn’t try to use public transport (my brother picked us up) so we had no issues at all! The transport side of it did seem veryyyyy poorly done though. I simply can’t handle the sushi music video 😂

2023-05-26 14:17:18 +0000 UTCI'm sorry you had a crappy experience at his concert! My experience was very different. Honestly, I feel like the local municipality plays a big role. I went to Harry's concert last week in Munich and it was really well organised. The venue was beautiful, in a giant park with lots of space, and we managed to be back to the hotel in 1.5 h from the moment the concert was over. I was really impressed considering it was a 70k people venue! But I have to agree that I kinda can't wait for him to finish his tour and take a break. He's been overexposed by releasing two successful albums back to bak, going on tour since 2021, has won album of the year at the grammys and has even been involved in a few movie projects. I love him and his music, but it's time for a change of gears for sure.

I think the premise of the MV is that the restaurant owners (the music industry) will only take care of him as long as he can perform and they can profit off of him. Once he loses his voice, they'll eat him up.

It’s a metaphor for how the music industry loves you when you’re doing well and will pamper you and overwork you until you fail (the part where he’s coughing) and then they’ll kill you and profit off you’re failure (when they turned him to sushi at the end) it also makes you rethink the entire meaning of the song because if you reread the lyrics with this video concept a lot of the lyrics start to make sense

And yes, I am pretty sure the concept for mfasr is how the music industry treats stars ("if the stars were edible and our hearts were never full, could we live with just a taste"), they are never satisfied and love them until they make mistakes (he sang off key/messed up during the bridge and then they chopped him up)

It was not a good show and then we sat in traffic for close to 3 hours trying to get home. I was kind of crushed because if the show had been good the traffic could have been annoying but worth it. With a crappy show though it just made for an all together nightmare. Coupled with it being an outdoor amphitheater with no indoor toilets only porta-potty's it was an all around nightmare experience.
