Incremental builds poll
Added 2024-07-17 18:53:52 +0000 UTCSome patrons have suggested that I release smaller but more frequent incremental builds of the current state of the game in addition to releasing more feature-rich but infrequent demos. I have thought a bit about this and want to hear what the community thinks about it.
By incremental builds, what I mean is that the first build would be very simple and subsequent builds would progressively get more features and polish with each new release. For example, the first build may just feature some flying. The next build might add ground movement, and the one after that character customization, and the one after that some combat, and so on. These would be made available for download whenever ready to try out the latest features. Eventually, after enough new features have been added, the latest build is packaged into a more polished demo. Then the cycle continues with more builds and demos until some time before release or possibly Early Access.
The demos would be made available to all patrons when ready, while the incremental builds would be available for tiers 3-5 to try out. It is possible that trying out the builds will require signing an NDA, or alternatively it may only be required for a separate test build released before each main build, which patrons can choose to try if they don't want to wait for the main build and are fine with it being unpolished.
So, what does this all mean? For tiers 1 and 2 not much changes, they will get to try the more feature-rich demos when they are done as was already agreed upon. However, for tiers 3-5 it would be possible to try the game much earlier than planned, as well as be more actively involved in the development as I'd be collecting feedback on each new build.

comparing versions doesn't cost a lot of resources and shows ideas of where the game is going
