About Justin Bieber…when he was young (pre-Scooter Braun) growing up an hour away from me in Canada, he was a child prodigy. He is ridiculously talented and it’s been so sad to watch his innocence fade and how fame affected him in a frightful way. Considering what we know now about Scooter, it’s kind of horrifying that he was “in charge” of a child and played a huge role in his development into adulthood. I miss baby Justin!

Maybe she’ll open with Enchanted & close with Long Live - or close with an Enchanted/Long Live mashup 😍 🎵🎶all I know is I was enchanted to meet you… long live the walls we crashed through 🎵🎶 both hold meaning for her relationship with her fans on top of the original meanings - and imagine if her old band mates came back for the tour??? Finishing on Long Live would be so freaking epic! 🙌

Apparently frightful Scott said they never planned on filming it but rumors say that the director of the Red Tour movie was linked to sexual assault allegations so Taylor pulled the plug. The latter makes sense because The Last Time music video (which was footage from Red Tour) was directed by an icky director who has sexual assault allegations.

There were signs all outside of the area saying it would be filmed and there was a camera man near where I sat and I remember being filmed for it. I totally get why they never released it but I was so sad they didn't

That interview bit at the beginning is staged (although many people said things like this to her at that time), but I always thought the red chairs were a nod to the Ellen Show (which had red chairs at the time) where she first spoke about Forever & Always and how Joe broke up with her.

The basic idea is that you don't truly come into your own as an adult until your late 20's, somewhere between 27 and 29. It takes Saturn 27-29 years to orbit the Sun, so that is the (flimsy) connection to astrology. Once Saturn comes back to where it was when you were born, you are no longer allowed to blame your shit on your parents or your upbringing--it is your responsibility now. You can still have trauma from your childhood, of course, but you have to take ownership of yourself and your problems. Justin is turning 29 now, and I do see signs in his recent behavior that he might be growing up a bit. Cancelling his tour is an act of rebellion against Scooter. It probably began with him marrying Hailey, honestly. I am never going to like him, never, but there is hope he is in the process of (slowly) becoming a real adult now. This feels like a theory Kara and Ducky might talk about on their podcast or something, but if you think about your friends and the changes they often undergo or did undergo in their late 20s, you can sort of see it.

I am actually expecting a scenario very much like what Bonny imagined, where she announces Speak Now TV from the stage of one of her Eras Tour shows, maybe even the first one. Her public persona is so different now than it was in Fearless era, but the underlying person does not seem so different. It is hard for me to imagine her doing the heart fingers now in an interview or something, but at tour maybe she would feel comfortable enough to do it. I think it will really make a psychological difference to her that every person at tour worked hard and suffered to get those tickets because of the whole Ticketmaster debacle. They have demonstrated even more loyalty to her than usual. On the other hand, she also knows that whatever she does will end up on YouTube, so I don't know. It will be fascinating to see.

She said she turned down performing at the Superbowl because she didn’t feel comfortable performing songs that she didn’t own. Now, tour is just coming up and obviously we KNOW she’s performing HER songs. When she decides to release the re records is up to her but she wouldn’t sing something she didn’t own. I was told that it was filmed but the director had claims of sexual assault brought against him so it was never used. How true that is I have no idea. I have found some clipped together versions of fan videos but the sound and visual quality is very spotty. The best live performance I came up with during that time is Live on the Sienne. It's very intimate and really excellent, much smaller than Lover in Paris but a similar vibe. It's obvious they did film something from tour though because they used it for the Red music video.

Like of course Taylor is my #1 always. To be honest, I grew up on Justin's early albums not Taylor's. Which honestly I think is because he was bigger for my generation with me and all my friends being born in 2003 and he was more mainstream then because he's a pop singer and Taylor was obviously doing country. His documentary never say never was the first movie I ever saw in theaters. So his old music will always have a special place in my heart. However, I fully understand the hate towards him.
