Guys it's actually too overwhelming, like how does this women do it all?!? She is unstoppable, I have no doubt in my mind that she will create something so special. Loved seeing these BTS!

2022-12-12 04:50:08 +0000 UTCHi Brooke! I think what Joe said is correct, she is able to perform any song she wants, but she cannot legally distribute footage or audio of it. So she can perform what she wants on Eras tour without having finished all the re-recordings of it beforehand. However, if she wants to do an Eras Tour doc (like Rep tour) she will need to have re-recorded all of the songs in said film by then, so that legally she can say she is singing Taylor's Versions and not the original songs. My opinion is that we will get the last 4 re-records whilst she is on tour (not necessarily beforehand), which could even span a couple of years possibly

Omg. I honestly don't think about these tiny details when watching the film, but they make all the difference in the overall feel of whats going on. SUPERIOR! This is why its sooo amazing to watch her direct, so you get these details!

She is now legally able to re-record all her albums, so she is also legally able to perform them all. The reason it was a big deal at the 2019 AMAs is that she was not allowed to re-record a lot of her music yet at that time.

I could never relive my narcissistic relationship like she had to do for this video. And then she turns around and makes it her most successful and award winning song/video. She's just so incredibly strong. I just love her lol

But I think she's ok to perform them on the tour itself without releasing the TV's first. It's complicated.

I know that when an artist wins a Grammy, a lot of people in addition to the artist get a Grammy as well (producers, etc.). But sometimes I think of all the people behind the scenes who make albums come together who are left out. Hopefully, they are compensated/thanked in other ways! However, in the MLB in the US when a team wins the World Series, EVERYONE gets a championship ring. From the lowest level janitors to the team owners. I have a friend who worked for the Nationals in 2019 in marketing and has one. I'm so jealous! I would LOVE to see an Era's championship ring just for all the records Taylor's broken, but especially if Midnights takes home a Grammy. Everyone involved in the launch of that album gets a ring, but she could also sell them to fans who supported it as well! So, I love my idea. Lets design a championship ring together! Lets make it obnoxiously big.

2022-12-10 13:56:28 +0000 UTCSo many things to fathom today! The BTS video nuggets for me: 1) she's "embarrassed" by the hand dropping, not hurt. Idk why I missed that in the video, but Taylor's direction for that scene makes so much sense! 2) the key throwing scene, where Taylor says something like throw with the full intention of it landing in her hand, and not the ground. Totally changes that scene for me. 3) the frightful things Taylor said at the end and coming of age, and how that you lose parts of yourself during that process, and thinking of the iconic line "I miss who I used to be/give me back my girlhood". Also yesterday was wild when this dropped, because the feature film was announced, and the media was excited. Then the Variety video announcement came, and people on Twitter were completely horrible to Taylor and it made my brain boil (buzzfeed captured some of those tweets and then called it backlash, instead of hate). Then the Variety video private link was posted accidentally! I watched the first 14 minutes of it, and then it was taken down. Guys! The iconic things that were said!? Her intro and asking the other director questions and really coming to the table knowing the assignment, asking the director strong questions, but also being her Mastermind self to showcase her own badass work at the same time, I simply could not! Please please please do a reaction to the Variety video!!!

She is trying to give the short film the best chance she can, as she moves into the film world. I do love the casual style of her direction as well; I think that's why she said she wants to work with good people, not the tortured actor type, on Fallon. She doesn't want to be the classic super controlling director who rules by fear. And I agree about Dylan and especially Sadie. I don't know how she got her smile to be so perfectly false in the cake scene--incredible!
