The big update everyone has been waiting for is on the way. The art is done now it's just a matter of writing this very long scene. I never write the dialogues till the art is finished. I like to look at the images while writing the dialogue to make it best match the actual tone and not just what I assume I'm going to get.
I was actually talking to the game's main voice actress about this the other day. That, generally, I don't have a lot of crazy specific needs of how she interprets a scene. I let her run with it and trust her interpretation. Same goes for Genno's art. I have some very specific things I like or exact details that need to be in the scene, but I leave the rest up to him. The results are far more dynamic poses than I would come up with. I notice in lots of adult games the poses tend to be shot from a very straight on view. So I always imagine them that way in my head. But he likes to play with angles and points of view and that's all him. Anyway, I think when you're working on collaborative art it's best to give leeway to the artists to bring their own perspective to the table rather than micromanage them into safe blandness.
Anyway... I'm also working on some bug fixing for people who experience freezing. No guarantee it'll work for everyone, but I'm putting in the effort. Thanks to Xephyros for pointing me in the right direction. I always appreciate the more technically minded members of the community with this kind of stuff... I'm just a writer after all.
