Wolf

The Centurion Boss’s chest appears in the form of a large silvery-white chest with the head of a fox sticking ever so slightly out of the front of the chest. Meanwhile it has nine tails all circling around the back of the chest. And it’s sitting in the center of the dark void near the entrance to the rest area.

I study the thing for a few seconds before moving up to it and placing my hand on the box.

Honestly, that battle was kind of fun. Which isn’t something I’m used to here.

Loki actually made that battle so ridiculous it became fun.

Maybe I was wrong about her. Maybe she isn’t as bad as I thought.

Like a child playing pranks or something. But not genuinely bad.

A faint smile spreads across my face at that thought before my hand touches the chest. Making an item appear above it.

Only for the smile to vanish in an instant as I blink in surprise. Then the corners of my lips twitch downwards.

Excuse me… what?

This item allows the user to disguise themselves as a kitsune of Loki’s preferred type.

System Favor: This item is safe to use and was carefully made by the Progenitor of Illusions and Kitsune herself. Furthermore, the item has a note from the Progenitor of Illusions and Kitsune for the user:

After finishing reading the description, leaves my eye twitching in irritation.

She… wasted the loot from the boss… on an item like this…

I stare at the thing for several seconds.

The item itself literally just looks like a tail similar yet slightly tougher looking than Loki’s own tails. And it’s just kinda floating in the air above the chest.

Sapphire starts chuckling from where she’s watching several meters away. Then her chuckling turns into all-out laughter instead.

I grit my teeth before tossing the fox tail into my storage ring. Never to be seen again.

Maybe I should rethink the change of opinion I had about Loki.

I glance at the chat.

[What is that…]

[that item XD]

[What the hell…]

[This is hilarious. Everything about this is hilarious.]

[I kind of want to see Wolf using that disguise… am I the only one who thinks this way?]

[Nope. I want to see it too.]

[What do you think her type is?]

[buff maybe?]

[cute? she seems to like fluffy things.]

My irritation level starts to rise even more at the sight of the chat.

Why exactly are they doing this?

But things get even worse a few seconds later when the tone of the chat shifts again.

[Don’t you think Loki and Wolf would make a good couple?]

[that’s a cute idea]

[You think no one’s thought of this yet? There are already videos all across the forums shipping them.]

[Loki’s even messing around joking about it herself while running away from the other Progenitors in Arcadian Live.]

[It’s too bad Wolf isn’t interested in romance.]

Why are they starting to ship me and her?

I watch the chat for several seconds before letting out a sigh.

Whatever. This is obviously just another of Loki’s pranks.

Why did I ever believe that she would stop her pranks just because I beat her clone?

Oh, whatever.

I turn my attention towards the rest area before going up to and entering it with Sapphire. Following which I find myself and Sapphire in the middle of a large frozen wasteland. With a notification appearing in my vision at the same time.

Beta Administrator Dungeon Notification

You have now entered the 400.5th floor! The floor itself has adapted itself to the user, turning it into the preferred biome of the user.

As the user is the Progenitor of Lunar Ice and the Blue Moon, the rest floor has turned into a floor of lunar ice.

You may stay in this rest floor for one entire month.

During this time you may do anything you wish within the dungeon. Furthermore, you may enter any Viewing Room you please for as long as you wish during this time with no limitations on time spent in them.

You may leave the rest floor through the exit whenever you wish, or you will be kicked out into the four hundred and first floor when the one month time limit is over.

Enjoy your rest, young Progenitor.

A smile spreads across my face again at the idea of another break.

Nice.

I summon my expanded system store before going inside and lying down on a couch with my hands held behind my head. Just staring up at the ceiling.

It’s very nice to have a break again. Especially after all of those incredibly annoying floors by Loki.

After all, those pranks were very draining. Even if I grew to enjoy our battle in the end.

I continue lying down just lazing away while reading for several hours before opening the System Forums and browsing around it. Only to find what the chat was talking about.

Numerous System Forums threads about people shipping me and Loki together. Along with a lot of threads about the battle with videos of it. And even more threads about Loki’s final prank reveal.

Not to mention the aftermath of said prank reveal. With videos of Loki being chased around everywhere in the Arcadian Live Viewing Room.

Overall, the System Forums are just being flooded with posts right now. All about one thing after another directly related to me and Loki and Loki’s little prank.

There are billions of posts at this point. From people all across the universe, and even people in other universes that have been introduced to the livestreams.

Eventually the Progenitors all begin to settle down again. Mostly because they can’t catch Loki no matter how hard they try thanks to her illusions.

And at that point I turn my focus onto expanding my Domain some more.

Beginning a long bout of training again.
