Wolf

Unlike the first item, which was an amulet, the second item is a potion. An item that is a consumable.

It’s also probably meant for this battle and this battle alone.

The potion itself is purple in color with some faint blue sparks floating around it. And it’s in a very fancy looking bottle with a wolf’s head cap.

Item | Potion of the Wolf’s Will | Tier 10

This item grants the drinker a temporary increase in defense against any and all effects towards the mind. Additionally, it grants the wearer a temporary high resistance towards any effects towards the mind that break through that defense. As well as a minor permanent increase in the user’s resistance towards any and all effects towards the mind.

The only effects that can break through this item’s defense are those originating from Progenitor level creatures.

The main effects of this potion will last for two months’ time.

System Favor: This item is safe to drink and was carefully made by the Progenitor of Ice and Wolves himself.

Um. This is pretty much just a potion version of that amulet.

Are Loki’s illusions really that dangerous?

I think back to everything I’ve dealt with so far on this floor. Specifically the whole ‘locked in hundreds of layers of illusions on top of each other while my body is in danger’ thing earlier on in the floor.

And if Loki ends up locking me in multiple layers of illusions as she goes and attacks my real body outside of said illusions…

Yeah, that does sound very dangerous.

Too dangerous.

Well, alright. At least with the amulet and this potion I should be pretty much immune to being directly effected by illusions. Or to be more specific, immune to being forced into layers of illusions.

The other illusions shouldn’t be much of an issue. I just have to devour them with my Domain and that’s it.

The same as I was doing for the first nine floors of this Floor Theme.

And the potion lasts for two months. So even if the battle stretches on for entire months, it should last long enough to matter.

Plus it gives a permanent boost as well. Which will be nice.

I put the potion aside for the moment, leaving it to consume right before I finish in here. Then I turn my attention towards the last item on the counter.

Which is a bracelet.

And, again, it’s… uh…

What is this?

I frown as I study the thing and read its description.

This item grants the wearer the following three effects:

The first effect granted by this item is a complete immunity to all charm magic.

The second effect granted by this item is a 25% increase in the wearer’s energy capacity.

The final effect grants the wearer the ability to completely restore their energy once.

System Favor: This item is safe to wear and was carefully made by the Progenitor of Chaos and Dragons herself. Furthermore, the item has a note from the Progenitor of Chaos and Dragons for the user:

Loki’s charm magic is absolute. Wear this at all times while fighting them.

I have no idea what to say about this item.

The Progenitor of Chaos and Dragons…

I guess she really is curious about me just like Fenrir said.

That said, what’s this about charm magic? Loki has charm magic?

Hmm…

I guess it makes some sense. Seeing as I’m guessing she’s a kitsune. And kitsune are often known to have charm powers.

Still. This is kind of disturbing in a way.

All three of my Sponsorship items are ones to increase my mental defenses.

And the mere fact that these Progenitors all assume I need these items to fight Loki makes me genuinely worried about how powerful Loki’s mental attacks really are.

I frown at this thought before shaking my head. Then I go ahead and put on the bracelet as well.

The bracelet itself seems to have a dragon design, with it looking like a dragon wrapped around my arm sleeping. A purple dragon at that.

Lots of purple items in this Sponsorship.

Then again, blue and purple often represent mental elements and attacks. So it kind of makes sense when I think of it like that.

Anyway, I reach out to grab the potion before downing it. Feeling relieved about System Favor since I probably wouldn’t have trusted these items without it.

Then again, I probably wouldn’t have trusted a lot of Sponsorships without it.

Sure this potion is from Fenrir, but I wouldn’t know for sure, without a doubt that it was from him without System Favor telling me it is.

What with the Progenitors’ names being censored and all.

Except Titania and Grim’s names, that is.

Anyway, after downing the potion, a System Message appears in my vision.

That menu reminds me of the Blue Moon Armaments’ menu. And after drinking the potion, I feel my energy capacity drastically rising.

Which will help a lot.

Also, all of those ridiculous items from the mini bosses will help just as much.

Nine different energy restorative items.

With all of this helping me, along with these defenses against mental effects, I should be prepared to deal with Loki now.

I take a deep breath at that thought before letting it out. Then I finally leave the hall.

Making me reappear in a circus. With circus music playing all throughout it.

But what catches my eye the most is the adult man floating in the air high above the main tent of the circus. One dressed like some sort of circus master, with his legs crossed under him while floating.

The man waves at me while turning into a young lady and back as Loki says, “Heyo! Nice to finally meet you face to face!”
