Within the Progenitor Battlegrounds
Grim has never felt so slighted in his entire life by anyone other than Titania until now. After seeing everything the Progenitor of Illusions is doing in the Beta Dungeon. And how he’s purposefully humiliating Grim even more than the other Progenitors in it.
And to make matters worse, he hasn’t done anything to humiliate Titania yet.
It’s clear that he’s targeting him.
Grim clenches his fists as his Domain begins to ripple around him. Making the other Progenitors around him in the battlefield show some faint irritation as well. Whether towards Grim or towards Loki varies depending on the Progenitor though.
The Reaper knows very well that not all of his allies are real allies.
There are plenty of them that are only helping him to obtain a Reality Treasure. And there’s no way Grim would ever actually give them a Reality Treasure even after he manages to reclaim the core.
So he’s been prepared for them to betray him for a while now.
It’s a simple matter of how long it takes them to realize they won’t gain anything from assisting him.
Grim opens a livestream in front of him again, showing The Winter Wolf – his descendant – as he tears apart the illusions around him while being attacked by those very illusions. And the longer he watches, the more his irritation grows.
When he first discovered the boy, he thought that it would make for good entertainment for him. That he’d be able to sit back and watch the boy struggling to survive in the dungeon.
But he only felt that way until the boy started getting too far into the dungeon. At which point he decided it would be a good idea to deal with the issue.
And have a little more fun while doing so.
Grim’s eyes narrow more and more as he continues watching the livestream.
If it weren’t for that meddling mutt…
The main reason everything has gone wrong. The one thing that threw every one of his plans into chaos.
Fenrir, the Progenitor of Ice and known neutral party amongst the Progenitors.
Interfering with his plans by making the boy a Progenitor himself. Forbidding him from interfering with his own dungeon. And even giving the System a way to free itself from him.
Something that didn’t happen naturally.
His grudge towards the Progenitor of Ice is growing greater and greater by the day. And the aid of other Progenitors towards the boy is deepening his hatred.
Enough that he will be declaring war on Fenrir the moment he finally gets rid of the disgusting insect that is Titania.
“You should leave the matter of the boy to us,” the Progenitor of Dark says without even the slightest fluctuation in her voice. “Even if I don’t kill him myself, Phoenix won’t be giving him a chance.”
Grim lets out a sigh and nods his head in agreement. Because he knows without a doubt that Phoenix will kill the boy the moment she enters the dungeon.
The only question is what floor Phoenix will be on.
If Phoenix shows up on a much later in the dungeon, then the boy may have a chance to defeat her. However, if Phoenix shows up soon, then he won’t have a chance.
Most people don’t like Phoenix on a personal level. She’s too easily aggravated by every little thing and has a history of attacking other Progenitors for even the most minor of grievances.
And Grim is no different. He dislikes Phoenix as well.
But that doesn’t mean he won’t accept her help when she offers it of her own volition and without any cost. All because of her own temper.
On top of that, he can’t do anything to kill the boy now.
He can’t even stop Loki from making a fool of him with his illusions.
So all he can do now is fight as hard as he can in the war.
To utterly obliterate the pest.
“To destroy Titania for good, the best way to do it is to threaten what she cares about the most,” Grim finally declares while closing out of the livestream in front of him. With the other Progenitors doing the same. “Her precious fae.”
The other Progenitors all nod their heads and voice their agreement with the plan. Or they show visible disapproval instead depending on the Progenitor.
Since some Progenitors believe mortals should absolutely be kept out of all conflicts between Progenitors. Even if others might not agree.
Neither Titania nor Grim agree with the sentiment though.
Although the two have different views on their own creations.
Titania cares deeply for her fae while Grim doesn’t care at all about his void creatures.
“Let’s begin the plan,” Grim states with a cold glare on his face.
Comments
Grim's going to try to take on Fenrir lol. I'm having a flashback to when Fenrir was iritated at Grim and Titania fighting, called them brats, and relocated them. I get what you meant when you said Grim is delusional in a comment reply. Fenrir didn't even know the system was based on a reality treasure until Beelzebub revealed it. He obviously didn't help the system break away from Grim as he was shocked when it happened. Hope Fenrir kicks his butt!
