Wolf

I end up slaughtering the derpy Progenitor fakes for almost an entire week nonstop before I realize they just don’t end. Which irritates both me and the Progenitors, who seem to be growing more and more upset with Loki the longer this goes on.

But Loki just laughs at their complaints.

And none of the Progenitors genuinely attack Loki. At most they vent their irritation.

No one wants to make an actual enemy of Loki though. Not when he can screw so many things up for everyone with his reality altering illusions.

He’s too much of a threat for everyone’s relationships.

And on top of that, Loki himself is incredibly hard to pin down.

According to what Fenrir’s told me, that is.

No one has even seen his real appearance after all, and people don’t even know if the form he goes around in is actually him or just another illusion.

There’s just too much mystery surrounding him to risk going to war with him.

At the same time, they all realize he enjoys the attention no matter what sort of attention it is. Which blunts their anger.

They don’t want to act as entertainment for him after all.

Still, I find myself getting messages from other Progenitors that aren’t just Fenrir. Each giving me advice and suggestions for what to do to finish this floor.

No doubt because they want me to finish the floor and move on away from these fakes as soon as possible.

So I go ahead and follow the advice in the messages.

Well, some of the messages.

I get the feeling some of the other messages are tricks to kill me. Not that they could do that in the first place.

That aside, following the advice leads me to killing certain fakes in order. Specifically the order of which they were born that I’m told by the watching Progenitors.

Which is something I never would’ve thought to do or even known how to do myself.

And doing that actually does eventually make an exit appear. Or rather, a portal.

I go through the portal that appears. Only to find myself actually laughing out loud at the special boss I find for the three hundred and ninety-fifth floor.

I just can’t help it.

The special boss is too hilarious.

It certainly helps that I don’t care if Grim dislikes me or not.

The special boss is in the form of a derpy Progenitor of Void.

Of a derpy Grim.

But he’s not just derpy like the others. He’s also dressed like a clown and is dancing around like an idiot.

Clearly showing how Loki feels about Grim.

And within moments, I hear news about Grim entering the Arcadian Live viewing room to attack Loki. Only to be kicked out by the System within moments.

Then he enters again, attacks, and is kicked out.

Over and over again.

With rage clear on his face from what I see in the System Forums threads popping up all over the place.

I find it rather amusing how no one seems afraid of mocking Grim on the System Forums unlike the other Progenitors. Probably because everyone in the universe hates him for what he did to them.

Anyway, I go ahead and take in this moment with amusement before finally beginning to attack the fake. Ripping its head off without much trouble.

Only for the fake to regrow its head immediately and stick its tongue out like a child.

Which has me laughing again. Until I rip its head off three more times and it just keeps regrowing it immediately.

Okay, this is starting to go from funny to annoying.

I look at the advice again as more comes in messages from Grim’s enemies. Talking about some details known to the Progenitors about Grim.

That his weakest point moves around his physical body as it pleases. So it’s never in the same place.

He can move around any of the organs in his body at will even in his default form.

Of course, this doesn’t really matter for Progenitors much considering that their bodies are literally just a physical manifestation of their Domain. It’s just an aspect of his physical manifestation that can be used to his advantage.

It doesn’t really matter that he can just reform again even if his physical manifestation is destroyed.

All the destruction of a physical avatar means is the loss of some energy after all.

Still. It does matter here when facing a creature similar to him.

So I try to devour the special boss with my Domain. Only to find that it’s actually fighting back against my Domain a bit. Slowing down the process of which it’s being devoured a little.

But when it’s being devoured from all sides, it doesn’t change much.

It just slows down the special boss’s death until it finally dies when something around the boss’s shoulder is destroyed.

And just like that, the exit leading to the three hundred and ninety-sixth floor appears. Along with a chest for the boss’s item.

Which, just like the other items, is an energy recovery item. Except in the form of a Grim figurine with a derpy, oversized head.

And the item itself not only activates when someone rips the head off of the figurine, but it also restores more energy when used.

Fifty percent of my total energy.

Loki really is just loading me up with these bizarre looking energy restoration items, isn’t he?

They’ll all be incredibly useful in the battle though. So I’m not complaining.

Even if they all look ridiculous.

On another note, I have to wonder if Loki has some sort of grudge against Grim. Considering how he made Grim look in the dungeon. Not to mention how he made this figurine activate by tearing off Grim’s head.

I should ask Fenrir about it before fighting Loki’s clone.

With that thought in mind, I put the item into my storage with the others before heading towards the exit. And when I touch the exit, I find myself on another ridiculous floor.

Just that this one looks like a massive mansion where I’m the size of an ant. And the furniture and items in the mansion are monsters.

I let out a sigh before beginning to slaughter monsters.

Not even phased anymore by the ridiculousness of this floor theme.
