Arcadian Live

Tolark Callen grins as wide as he possibly can as he finally enters the Arcadian Live Viewing Room. The most famous amongst all the Viewing Rooms in the System. All because it’s the Viewing Room that originally made The Winter Wolf famous.

He’s been looking forward to his paycheck for a long time now. All so that he can enter this very Viewing Room.

And now he’s finally here.

The Winter Wolf! A man who rose from being nothing more than a simple mortal, one newly entering into the System, into a Progenitor! One of the gods of the multiverse!

And not just that, but he became a Progenitor of a new element!

Tolark has been eagerly watching everything he can find related to The Winter Wolf ever since the man first beat the revenant on the tenth floor of the Administrator Dungeon. And even though he’s broke as hell, he’s still spent half of his paychecks on getting the latest collector’s edition figurines and wallpapers showing The Winter Wolf in his greatest battles to date!

“And what do we have here?!” Mikaela, the host of Arcadian Live, shouts while flying in circles around the screen with excitement on his face. The commentator and host having gained a lot more of his vigor from what Tolark’s heard since the Arcadian Live and other viewing rooms were reinstated by the System. “It looks like The Winter Wolf has run into a very unexpected opponent on this floor!”

Tolark hurriedly focuses on the screen to find his hero floating in space looking cool as hell with his hands in his pockets and a wolf pup lying down in the hood of his coat. He has his new set of headphones on his head and is just staring at the massive slime floating in space in front of him while looking more than a little confused.

Unfortunately Tolark hasn’t been able to buy the latest figurines of The Winter Wolf. The ones where his hair has grown out a little bit to his shoulders. Mostly because they’re so expensive.

Although his best friend, Jannete, has bought them. And she’s not afraid to show them off to him and brag.

But now he can brag that he’s seen a livestream of him live in the Arcadian Live viewing room!

“What… is he doing?” Mikaela asks while looking more than a little confused as The Winter Wolf just floats up to the creature before pulling one hand out of his pocket and placing it onto the slime. “Is he trying to test its makeup? Or maybe freeze it with his ice?”

Tolark eagerly watches The Winter Wolf’s every move, soaking them all in like the fan he is. And what he sees amazes him just as much as he had expected it would.

Because The Winter Wolf’s hand stops mere inches from the slime before he pulls his index finger back to his thumb.

Then flicks the slime with one finger, making everything around it pause for a single moment. Only for the slime to suddenly be blown away across space to splatter against an asteroid several dozen kilometers away.

A roar of applause and cheers echo out amongst the audience as Mikaela shouts, “And there it is! A showing of The Winter Wolf’s immense physical strength! Flicking away that slime without even using any elemental energy at all!!!”

Tolark feels more excited than he’s ever been in his life before as he watches The Winter Wolf float through the sky with both hands in his pockets again until he stops next to the slime. But to Tolark’s surprise, the slime is still alive. Even after being flicked by Wolf like that.

And it’s not just Tolark who is surprised as The Winter Wolf himself looks surprised too.

That doesn’t stop him from floating up to the slime and then freezing the entire thing solid.

Only for that to fail too as the slime doesn’t die. It just stays frozen.

Tolark feels his fists clenching as Mikaela says, “And it looks like The Winter Wolf may be struggling to find a way to kill the slime! The slime also doesn’t seem to have any sort of core, so what will he do?!”

Then, under the eyes of all the viewers, The Winter Wolf just shrugs and raises his hand back to the creature before pushing some of his Domain inside of it. Domain energy that immediately spreads throughout the monster’s body before turning the previously green slime a pale blue color. Following which the slime begins to shrink until it is small enough to fit in Wolf’s palm.

“The Winter Wolf has turned the slime into a lunar winter beast!!! You heard me! A slime!!!” Mikaela shouts, sounding just as shocked about this turn of events as Tolark feels right now. “I didn’t know that was possible!”

Tolark stares blankly at the livestream for several seconds before wiping the look off of his face. Only for The Winter Wolf to shock him again when he just casually puts the slime in a storage ring.

Which he also didn’t know was possible.

Then The Winter Wolf just moves on and claims another slime that he also puts into a storage ring.

“It looks like The Winter Wolf is just collecting lunar winter beast slimes now?” Mikaela half says, half asks with a look of confusion on his face as laughter begins to spread amongst the audience. “I guess it makes sense that slimes can be put in storage rings. They don’t breathe after all.”

Huh. That does make sense.

After that, The Winter Wolf goes around collecting slimes while also grabbing any EXP orb he finds to continue raising his level. Even without killing any monsters on the floor.

Then he does the same thing for the next several floors, just rapidly increasing his lunar winter beast slime collection. All while the wolf pup sleeps in his hood.

I wonder what he’s going to do with those things?
