Update

For those of you who don't read the schedule and don't know what's going on (which you should read the schedule btw), I am currently in crunch time to finish up The Undying Magician book 4 before its deadline in a couple weeks. It is also tax season and on top of that I am dealing with listening to the completed audiobook my publisher sent me.

So I'm rather busy right now and have canceled the first Crimson Eternal, Reaper, and Chaos chapters of this week.

The other chapter for the week of each of these three will still be written and posted as usual though. Look to the schedule as always to know when.

I'm glad RR is working on something like that. I don't do more with patreon than read author's works, but I don't want the RR thing linked with Patreon. A message like get mor chapters for this much, you pay, and you get it would be fine. RR already accepts paypal. I've heard horror stories about patreon though. I once emailed them about replies to comments. On youtube for example some sends you a reply and you can hit reply to comment in the email. The comment is right up top. Here on patreon though, you click reply in the email and it brings you to the general comment section and god forbid someone has hundreds of comments on their page. I advised patreon of that problem for the blind maybe a year or 2 ago and they said they'd consider it but I guess not. I guess patreon gets so many people since there are few sites like it that they don't have to care. If RR starts authoring advanced chapters, they might have a wakeup call. Just as long as RR doesn't act like webnovel. That one is so convoluted and annoying.

No, I can't do any of that. Sorry, I'm not going to explain why as I've done it too many times with family now. But let's just say that momentum and constantly putting out books of each series without letting your readers believe you're dropping a series just because you're posting for another series more often is incredibly important. And there's no way to give out announcements to Amazon readers unlike Royal Road or Patreon readers. And the vast majority of my readers and earnings are and are from Amazon readers. Not Patreon or Royal Road readers. As for Royal Road doing something similar to Patreon? Royal Road has their own advanced chapters thing currently in the works. Although it's not linked to Patreon, and I wouldn't want it to be. Seeing as Patreon doesn't care about its users or creators. And no, Royal Road is my beta site for Amazon. Amazon is where my career lies and where all of my books are heading.

Couldn't you wait until it's done then put it for say 2 months later. Then you get the pre-order time anyway though I guess some people could read it on RR. On Crimson Eternal for example books 1, 2, 3, and 4 are done meaning you can spit them out at your pace. Do you ever intend on having a royal road baby, a book that will just stay there. It seems like books lose hits there when stubbed. One on amazon said it had a million hits on royal, but when you go there now after the stub it is only a hundred thousand. What would be cool is royal road is an amazon affiliate. It would be cool if you could link RR to your amazon account, buy it there, and have access to it on RR, it's better navigation for the blind there. Come to that, RR taking patreons place and putting the chapters behind their own pay wall would be awesome.

I purposefully didn't say.

I forgot, which series is becoming an audio book next?

Childish Jordino

It's incredibly tiresome to explain and I've already explained it numerous time to my parents who keep forgetting it so I'll just give you an extremely shortened and simple reason. No preorder pretty badly hurts your book release due to numerous factors including but not limited to how the Amazon website works and the fact that readers seeing more books on a series makes them more likely to read the series even if a book isn't out.

No problem. I've always wondered, how come authors have this deadline. What I mean is why not wait until the book is done then publish? You're self-publishing on amazon so you could have it done at the end of March, April, May. Why put that kind of pressure on yourself. I've seen other authors on patreon and RR deal with this deadline, but can't they publish to amazon when they are ready. Does it have something to do with book covers where the book needs to be written and published within a certain period? Keep up the good work.

I feel like I just got shot in the head with an arrow with a note saying “never reads the schedule” written on it…
