The System's Fall - Synopsis, Possible Cover Image, and First 10k Words

And hello again! This is the next story in the current batch of potential next stories that I am going to be adding to the poll in the future!

Although I actually have two more that I've started and just never posted, so I may post those at some point. I just have never gotten around to it.

This one I've been binge writing today and have been rather excited about. Now whether that excitement will stick around, I have no idea.

PS: No, I won't be starting another story on Royal Road until I complete one of my current ones. But I will still write chapters for these stories from time to time and post them on my Patreon if I feel like it. I've already written at least one more chapter for The Astral Apocalypse for example.

That aside, here is the synopsis for The System's Fall:

What would happen if the world was suddenly turned into a non-digital, real life video game for the entertainment of another civilization? If monsters appeared all over the world, if regular citizens of another civilization began sending avatars to your world while treating it as a video game, if a universal System suddenly arrived granting people levels and classes, and if the lives of the entire world were at stake should you lose?

Most people wouldn’t ever consider something like that as possible.

And Shawn was one of those people.

Until it actually happened.

Never once has a world ever won their game. The Players from the System Protected Lands have won every single World Game they have created.

But Shawn is different from the rest of the people in all of these World Games.

That’s because he has learned that one of his parents was a Player from the System. And thanks to that, he has been granted Player status himself. Along with most of the privileges that come along with it.

And he is going to use those privileges to grow stronger.

Stronger than all of the Players, and all of the people of Earth who have now been labeled as NPCs by the Players.

Strong enough to win.
