After my lesson with the Demon King, I immediately get to work training my Wrath Manipulation. Learning one of my skills after another through Wrath Manipulation alone. And of my skills, only three of them turn out to be relatively difficult to figure out.

Incineration of Wrath.

Wrath Resistance.

And, of course, The Calling of Wrath.

But I manage to learn every last skill over the course of two entire weeks. During which time I spent just lying around in the Demon King’s castle as I trained.

At this point I mostly trust the Demon King not to try and harm me. Largely because of how he and his people have pretty much been treating me as a god this entire time. Like I’m the goddess of demons or something.

Although there are still some things I’m not entirely sure about in regards to them. But even those things aren’t too major.

And a few hours after I finally finish learning The Calling of Wrath through Wrath Manipulation – albeit nowhere near as well as the skill itself lets me do, probably not even as well as the skill let me do back at level 3 in fact – I open my Tier Breach Mission one last time.

Objective 2: Raise The Calling of Wrath to level 4. Completed.
Objective 3: Raise Wrath Resistance to level 3. Completed.

Objective 5: Slay 100,000 Wrath infused creatures in your lifetime. Completed.
Objective 6: Clear a Corrupted Wrath Dungeon. Completed.
Optional Objective 1: Slay a Tier 6 creature.
Optional Objective 2: Learn to cast every one of your skills through Wrath Manipulation alone.

Tier 5 unlocked
Skill: Mid-stage Wrath Manipulation
Skill: Planar Wrath Gate Creation
Optional Objective Reward 1:
10,000,000,000 EXP, one Tier 6 [Random Item Draw], and one Tier 8 [Skill Level-Up Card]

10,000,000,000 EXP, one Tier 5 [Random Item Draw], and one Tier 7 [Random Skill Level-Up Card] Claim

It’s unfortunate that I can’t get the other optional objective reward, but it’s fine. There’s no way I’ll ever manage to kill a Tier 6 enemy on my own. And I already know that the System won’t let you cheat your way through it by having someone do all the work for you. Which leaves asking the Demon King to capture a Tier 6 to let me kill out of the question.

Anyways, I go ahead and mark the Tier Breach Mission as complete.

Holy shit. That is actually a really good item for me.

A wide smile stretches across my face at that as I walk over to the balcony before leaning on the railing. Then I go ahead and open my status and select the plus.

Bringing me to level 41, and more importantly, to Tier 5.

But not before the usual treatment of me losing all feeling in my body and falling to slump across the railing.

What’s not usual though is when pure Wrath energy begins to rampage all across my skin instead of Wrath lightning or Wrath flames. Wrath energy that ends up devouring said railing and leaving me dangling partially over the edge as I wonder why I walked over to the railing in the first place.

Oh, right. It was because it felt more right to ascend outside rather than inside.

My thoughts go on break when the pain begins flooding my mind. As my bones shift and crack and pop. Meanwhile I feel Wrath energy beginning to flood into my body from outside. Draining everything from around the castle and no doubt causing a panic amongst the demons.

Then I get the System Note I’m waiting for as the pain subsides.

My smile turns into a wide grin as I feel my sensation returning to me before power floods my entire body. Then another System Note appears in my vision. A blood red one this time.

Wait, so I can control Wrath monsters now?

Now that’s cool.

Too bad something tells me it won’t work on Fafnir. Even if he wasn’t above Tier 10.

I let out a sigh at that before looking down at my hand and clenching my fist.

Time to test out my new strength.

Then I’ll be going back to Midgard, even if just to see how everyone’s doing.

I can always come back for more training in the Borderlands afterwards.
