Don't mind this fluff. It's so that free readers can't click on the link.

For those of you who are reading this on a website that is not Patreon, please stop. You're reading a pirated version. Instead, if you would be so kind, please click on the table of contents link below and go to my Patreon instead. Or even read it off of Royal Road, which is free.

Alrighty then. I decided to do a Q&A post for Crimson Eternal since my Ascension of Chaos readers seem to love them so much. What with the hundreds of questions I'm asked in them on Patreon and Royal Road.
So go ahead and ask me anything and if it's a question I can answer, I'll answer it.
That said, it likely won't be until tonight is that I answer it. Seeing as I am on vacation right now.
I'll probably do a Q&A post for Reaper's Resurgence tomorrow on my Patreon as well. For you readers who read both.

It was explained before that the other horsemen won't die of natural causes either because they level up too quickly.

2024-10-16 14:38:58 +0000 UTCWhen I think about it, the other horseman seem kinda bunk anyway... since everyone will eventually die. I mean, war... famine... pestilence... are all minority causes of death on a grander scale, while Aria can just wait around and everyone will eventually die. Just saying...

2024-10-16 10:39:45 +0000 UTCI never said anything about Pestilence using it as a way to level. All I said that was what he wants is to create pestilences, which has nothing to do with his purpose of which is spreading pestilences. So the only times when he actually does follow his purpose is when he goes to test the things he created and he doesn't actually care about the leveling or the process of spreading them itself.

2024-08-16 06:55:11 +0000 UTCCheers for the answer. Will have to pay more attention I guess when I inevitably re-read it. I understood that Pestilence doesn't care about curing people nor is he invested in any of his experiments but I got the impression he was creating plagues out of and interest in it rather then just as a way of levelling. Though we definitely haven't spent enough time with him as readers to know him yet. Your answer has made me realise that Aria might have more in common with Famine than I had thought, both of them using their horseman abilities and aspects as tools to further unrelated interests.

2024-08-16 06:48:06 +0000 UTCNo one ever said Pestilence's purpose was to create and test plagues. It was to bring pestilence unto others. And he doesn't give a shit about that and even drops experiments on a whim without a care for if the people are cured or not. And Famine doesn't care one way or another about bringing Famine to others. He just uses it as a tool to rule his empire the way he wishes to and bring the Horsemen supremacy. She will never care about death one way or another.

2024-08-15 05:13:24 +0000 UTCIs Aria's apathy and boredom going to evolve into an acceptance of purpose at some point? The other horseman seem to carry out their acts out of a genuine enjoyment or fulfilment rather then just to get stronger. War seems to enjoy fighting, famine seems to enjoy starving and bringing misery to people, and pestilence seems to enjoy creating and testing plagues. Aria brings a lot of death but doesn't seem to get any fulfilment out of it. Basically I'm wondering if Aria's indifference to death is going to change into a fascination or appreciation of it.

2024-08-15 02:59:43 +0000 UTCLater on, yeah. Not in book 4 though. I already have a large majority of the major plots in book 4 planned out, and they largely revolve around the werewolf virus world and what Aria finds there. Along with one other surprise that will shake the universe.

2024-08-13 15:16:40 +0000 UTCAre we going to see longer time skips anytime soon? Like for example 100 years?

2024-08-13 15:14:24 +0000 UTCThat's really cool. I doubt there are many, if any, mages of the other horsemen's domains, so it'll be interesting to see how people react to death magic getting stronger. If Aria leveling up makes the entirety of one of the grands a bit stronger it might cause a bit of interesting chaos. And apparently my autocorrect thinks mages isn't a word lol.

2024-08-12 14:58:33 +0000 UTCAccording to my own count she should be around 147 years old but I am not entirely sure if I got all the time skips at the start of Volume 4.

2024-08-12 14:52:47 +0000 UTCIf you mean mages and not mates, then yes, all death mages felt something when she reached level one hundred. Although most don't know what it was. And yes, death magic did get a little stronger overall. But not without a price for those using it.
WolfShine
2024-08-12 14:46:39 +0000 UTCDid other Death mates on other planets feel when she hit 100? Did all the death magic get slightly stronger now that the "Origin of all death magic" is here?

2024-08-12 14:45:18 +0000 UTCFair enough. I thought I remembered a comment about hundreds of years, so I thought I would ask
Jake Rands
2024-08-12 14:15:11 +0000 UTCNope. She won't be able to do that without a spirit summoning skill of the right quality.
WolfShine
2024-08-12 14:03:42 +0000 UTCAll of her teammates back home are still alive except for Frank who died in an earlier book. And I'll just say that Aria is between 120 and 180 years old. You can figure it out from there :P
WolfShine
2024-08-12 14:03:12 +0000 UTCHow old is Aria now? Are any of her friends back home still alive?
Jake Rands
2024-08-12 13:45:39 +0000 UTCWill aria perhaps be able to bring the stronger death spirits from the plane of death now that she can go there with her horse even without a higher level death spirit summoning skill?
