You're acting like none of this has happened before in the billions of years of the universe. Some Primordials don't care if others target their Successors, others do. Erebos lets it happen and deems it as a test for his Successors. Other Primordials get upset. So it makes more sense for them to assume Chaos doesn't care when he's known to be a psychopath who cares for no one.

2024-07-12 20:51:00 +0000 UTCI know power will be power and all, but I still find it idiotic to target Ashley just for her skill. On top of not being able to tell how Chaos will take it, and the bad option is VERY bad for them, it would also set a president that the other primordials should take issue with. As it would mean their successors can be targeted for being to strong comparatively, and well that kind of limits their options in selecting the best as a successor. Especially if they try to lower the acceptable limit, which would happen as some idiots try to more secure their power.

You rock! ^.^ Makes me wonder though, we haven’t found out the relationship the Primordials have with the system yet, and we also don’t really even know what the system is. Is this something we’ll learn about in book 2, once she has some Q’s after defeating the UM? Or even later in the story like book 3+.
