Outside of the Hive
Right after Alex’s evolution began
Lieutenant Colonel Richard Rorris grits his teeth as he sees the Frozen Consultant crash into the ice and snow covered mountain right next to the hole. Meanwhile his radio turns on and he hears the voice of one of his commanding officers – another lieutenant colonel just like him – coming from it, “Retreat is in full force, but what is happening up there?! All of the Eternal Winter is leaving the hive faster than we’re moving, and it’s frightening the bugs down here enough that they aren’t chasing!”
“That is a very good question, lieutenant colonel,” Lieutenant Colonel Richard Rorris says while watching all of the Eternal Winter nearby rushing straight into the Frozen Consultant. “But it’s not one I have the answer to.”
When he first heard the Frozen Consultant calling a retreat, he was afraid there was a surprise down below. Such as a more powerful frozen one, or maybe a Frozen Lord they hadn’t been aware of.
What he was not expecting was to see the Frozen Consultant himself rushing out of the hive with all of the Eternal Winter nearby rushing into his body.
What’s even going on? Is he being attacked by the Winter God somehow? Or is it another Frozen Lord’s doing?
Unfortunately, the Eternal Winter rushing into the Frozen Consultant at this point has blocked all view of him. So he can’t even see what’s happening to the man.
All he knows is that he’s at the center of it, and his last words before this happened were that he reached Tier 4. Which could imply that this is a result of that, but he can’t be sure.
The mere fact that he’s already Tier 4 is terrifying in and of itself…
At this point the Frozen Consultant is an entire Tier above the second strongest humans and mutants on the planet. Giving him free reign over all of them if he so desired it.
Right as the lieutenant colonel is about to shift his attention towards his forces currently retreating out of the hive, a strange flare of energy shoots up from around the Frozen Consultant. A flare that strongly surprises.
Because it’s not cold energy.
He narrows his eyes at the cloud of Eternal Winter that is quickly merging with heat energy in the form of bright sunlight peaking out from within the blizzard. Meanwhile small hints of heat energy begin to peak out from within the cold energy. With both energies growing at a rapid pace in the center of it all.
Where the Frozen Consultant is located.
And if that wasn’t enough, Richard soon feels the attention of a number of powerful creatures focusing on their location. All of which are Frozen Lords no doubt.
“Be ready to fight at any moment, but keep up the retreat!” Richard shouts into his radio, feeling an uncomfortable sense of anxiety and stress building within him.
Because he has no fucking idea what the hell is going on.

All around Arran
Throughout every corner of the tourist world known as Arran, one Frozen Lord after another turns their senses in the direction of the mountains south of the capital. As a powerful wave of both cold and heat energy flood shoot outwards from a single point in the mountains.
And each one of the Frozen Lords witnessing the event shows a different reaction.
Dragron narrows his eyes, feeling a slight discontent and unease flooding through him. As if he’s witnessing the birth of a potential new God that could overthrow his current God. A discontent and unease that quickly turns into anger. But he can’t disobey his God’s word, so he just returns his attention to the matter he’s currently dealing with. One of the warm one bases on the other side of the planet.
Craolyx feels a mixture of fear and surprise at the realization of just how strong the insect she had let escape at her God’s command has gotten in just a shot period of time. And as she wonders how much longer it’ll take for that very ‘insect’ to catch up with and overpower her.
Crao, on the other hand, turns its attention towards the hybrid and feels both surprise and unease. Both at the unexpected form the hybrid’s evolution is taking, along with the sight of the warm one army aiding him in taking the hive. Thereby making it entirely possible for the hive to fall, just like the first hive. A realization that infuriates Crao.
Meanwhile the rest of the Frozen Lords simply dismiss the hybrid as not being of importance or not being their concern. Each of them focused on their own jobs, none of which have anything to do with the hybrid.
Except for one particular Frozen Lord that slowly begins to crack his eyes open within the capital.
As the Vanguard himself finally begins to awaken from his long slumber.
But the evolution of the hybrid doesn’t pause for even a second throughout all of this, as the two energies within him merge and split over and over again. Never fully combining, but still working together to forcefully change the hybrid’s body.
And the changes quickly become apparent as the man’s wings of ice gradually begin to glow with a faint glow of warmth to them despite being ice, his eyes take on a new form in that of pitch black orbs with faint glowing red and orange pupils surrounded by equally glowing rings of blue, and his claws take on flecks of orange and red energy.
Finally proving the man to be a hybrid in more than just a superficial stance.
As he takes on powers of the angels and shows them to the world for the first time. Even if the Winter God’s power still takes dominancy within him over the Sun God’s power.
And the moment his evolution finally draws to a close, the Eternal Winter around him and the glowing sunlight begins to disperse. Revealing the man lying silent on the ice and snow with his clothes half destroyed.
Then, after several seconds of silence, his eyes shoot open.
