It just donned on me so I had to come back to this chapter and re-read it to confirm, but Leopold greeted her as Aria rather than Lady Death. Like he sees her as Aria Crimson first and foremost (Daughter of his loved friend). I like that little detail.

The missing memories were an accident caused by the amulet and are of no fault of her parents. For two, if you've read Wolf of the Blood Moon you should know I wouldn't just make them all buddy buddy right away. Since I didn't do that on Wolf of the Blood Moon.

2024-03-17 05:01:15 +0000 UTCPart of me really wants her to be happy but a bigger part really hopes that when she reunites with her family, she doesn't just automatically get sentimental and then go jump in her parents, arms or something even remotely like that. I mean, if we look at it through her point of view one of the 9 greatest powers in the known universe, didn't know what had happened to her after they sent her away, which I'm guessing will be explained later, but I'm guessing it's not because they knew she was Death because, and I'm extrapolating facts here based on the context of the story so far, not even the best Seers in the universe could find out who the horsemen were before they were integrated, meaning while they knew she had a powerful regenerative skill to them she was still killable. Even if they sent her away for her protection, to her it would be finding out that the beings she mourned for we're just dolls taking care of her; then she was tortured till the emperor realized he couldn't kill her and decided to use as a weapon for suicide missions while still torturing her with her teamates deaths, and the only trauma that I've seen her powers mitigate are from when she is injured but she still has the memory of those injuries. The beings that raised her weren't even her real family no matter what memories they may have had. And to top it all off it seems that they have put their own mind magic on her somehow. All in all I'd say that she has a lot of reasons to be angry with her 'family' and that it would be a letdown if this goes the usual route of "oh all that pain and suffering was nothing let's be happy now". I'm not saying the story shouldn't eventually progress to that point, but at the start at least I would think she should be more than a bit angry with them. As for every single other aspect of the story, All I can say is that it's top tier
