Those laws seem light though. A week to a month of imprisonment. The starvation is the worst part. Unfortunately for those talking suicide, it's known that a starving person does not have their full faculties so it would be easy to keep an eye on them, though the soldiers are starved too. Smarter plan would be that people in the army can eat in full if they serve well. Yes, sacrifice some levels, but always good to keep the army happy, though Famine might be a high enough level that he could just kill all the worlds if he really needs to.

2024-03-05 00:27:25 +0000 UTCNo, not really. You're forgetting that over 20 worlds were initiated at the exact same time as Vortel was. They also assumed it was the Death Spirit that made them not able to revive. So none of the things you stated imply Death was there.

The got death is amoung you notice right as his forces invaded and inducted the planet, that should have been a huge red flag that death could be there, and not being able to revive someone should have been another red flag, as unless they have VERY special skill and class, preventing revival should not be someone a new system user can do. (I know he was not aware at first but he was for the 3rd part) and that they survived the death spirit, his necromancer could have failed sure. Any of the 3 individualy could be a coincidence, but together they are a sign of "here be a anthill you should not kick".
