2024-01-31 06:10:22 +0000 UTCYou've forgotten one major factor. Atlantis doesn't have a Void Temple on the world. Meaning they can't revive people. At least not on their planet. They'd have to go to another world and wait entire years for them to be revived, spending a fortune in the process. And that's only with them being significantly weaker after revival.

2024-01-31 00:13:25 +0000 UTCI don't feel like the revival aspect was considered when writing about the rebellions. Even if the Duke kills the King and Queen, either without sacrificing himself or while also dying, they would just be revived within a couple months and now he has to fight them again without the element of suprise or the supercharge potion. Winning a war within that timeframe would be impossible, especially if the other side knows the two strongest people on the planet will return to help them win and they just need to hold out a bit. Plus the rebellion side shouldn't be assuming all is lost with the Duke's death since they should assume he can be revived still even if weakend. Sure they lost the battle and a lot of them would be captured but they gave up really easily considering that they rebelled in the first place and the fact that they can just run away and bring all of their dead allies back for a round two. We don't know how the Void temple works in terms of their neutrality and rebellions/civil wars but the whole rebellion idea should have been complicated by the fact that people can be revived in this world. It feels like the author tends to just gloss over that at times when it comes to war and rebellions and treat them how they would normally be treated if revival was not a thing.
