2024-01-16 10:09:37 +0000 UTCThis provides an interesting insight into the offensive/defensive balance on the planet. Usually when you have stuff like fortresses, you'd assume a more old-school state of the balance with defense having a major advantage. You know, forts that can withstand assaults from a 10 times more numerous armies for months. Here, however it seems like the balance is tilted more towards offense or not tilted towards defense at least, which is much more similar to modern warfare. Which makes the fact that fortresses are still a thing quite intriguing, if they don't even provide enough advantage to win when outnumbered only 2:1 π€
