Dungeon from the Void - Book 4 - Chapter 5 - Progress on the Tenth Floor

Now that that waste of time is over with, time to get back to work on the tenth floor.
The first thing I do as I focus on the area I had cleared out for the tenth floor is begin filling the first half of the floor - consisting of one enormous cavern - with a large taiga. I make this one a little bit warmer than any of the other taiga that I have made so far before spawning dozens of arachnids throughout it and ordering them to begin webbing almost everything.
My plan for the tenth floor is to have two sections of the floor: one with a large, webbed taiga, and the other with a colder taiga full of fortresses and dens. The first section will have five different puzzles spread throughout the section, each with a mana infused arachnae guarding it.
In order to reach that goal, I begin creating five different nests before placing an arachnae in each nest and leaving it there for now, along with a couple dozen arachnids for each nest.
I don't want to run out of mana due to infusing them yet, so I then move on to creating the puzzles themselves.
Since they are all located in spider nests, I make at least one of the puzzles a simple 'find the key,' where the key is actually just an arachnid hiding in a cocoon somewhere in the nest. After that, I make the other puzzles a mixture of riddles, quizzes, and a weight related one, where the intruder must find three different cocoons of the same weight within the nest before placing them all on a pedestal.
This entire process ends up taking me several hours to complete, mostly due to the slowness of the spiders in spreading their webbing. But there isn't much I can do about that unless I wanted to just waste more mana by spawning more of them.
The arachnids only have so much webbing at once after all.
The first section aside, I move on to the second section. I create a large gate spanning several meters in height before connecting it to the five puzzles, making it so that it will only open once all of the puzzles are completed.
As for the second section itself? I begin it by creating a large, and much colder taiga to span throughout the second cavern of the floor before spreading over a dozen fortresses around the space, each with a few wolf dens around them.
This part ends up taking me a couple of days to complete, just due to the massive number of fortresses that I am placing. And that's not even including the monsters that I haven't spawned yet.
At this point, I pause to look at my status.

Hmm, that's actually more mana than I was expecting. I wonder why...
Actually, nevermind. I forgot that my mana regeneration increases just as much as my capacity does.
Putting that aside for the moment, I spread my awareness through what is currently the tenth floor to check on my work. As I'm doing this, I notice Dawn entering the floor herself.
"It looks pretty good so far," she says while looking at the first section from the floor's entrance.
"Thanks," I mutter before fixing a problem I find in the enchantment for the large door. "It's still a work in progress though."
Dawn teleports into the second section of the floor before giggling and saying, "I can see that."
I glance at her for a few seconds, only to turn back to my work again without saying anything as I contemplate what Fang might turn into whenever I raise him to Tier 2.
Will he still be a void direwolf? Or will he evolve into something else?
Not to mention what will happen when he is promoted into a boss monster instead of just a mini boss.
I turn away from the enchantment as soon as I finish it to look at Fang, only to change my focus again to a new group of intruders to my dungeon.
There have been quite a few new groups that I've never seen before ever since I reached Tier 2. And it's really helping me with my EXP gain.
Mostly because not all of these new groups are very smart, with a lot of them reminding me of the initial wave of intruders that I had gotten after the Humans first found my dungeon.
Although now it's not just Humans.
Huh, actually, I didn't really think about this before, but why are there both Angelic and Demonic races entering my dungeon? I thought the two races hated each other...
I watch the group of Orcs traverse my first floor for a few seconds before mentally shrugging - a term I learned from the Humans - and focusing on the tenth floor again.
It doesn't really matter in the end if the intruders entering my dungeon are Angelic races or Demonic ones. As long as they are entering my dungeon and giving me plenty of EXP.
When I look at the first section of the tenth floor again, I find Dawn playing around in the body of one of the arachnids; just moving around and spraying webbing everywhere.
"Huh," I mutter in surprise, "I didn't think about having her do that..."
That would have sped up the process of webbing up the floor quite a bit if I just had her go around doing it instead of the spiders. Although it would probably look a bit less natural, since it wouldn't be an actual arachnid doing it, but just Dawn in an arachnid's body.
Then again, she would probably get bored of it before much work was done.
I turn my attention back to the second section to get back to my work.
