'Cum as Food', and the silliness of Lustiest Lair.

We all know the original Lustiest Lair was quite a silly experience indeed, with many absurdly and oftentimes hilariously over-porn-ified concepts like every battle being an 'orgy', and food being replaced with cum.

I was wondering how folks felt about that? My temptation is to steer LL:E in a more serious direction, but I know there's a certain charm to the silly porn logic the original LL brought to the table too.

Ultimately I'm making this mod for myself: I think all good quality work comes from passion, and I have plenty of it for LL:E so the choice is down to me in the end, but...

... What do you think?

Well, in my opinion I would like to see it be a bit more serious, one thing for example is how every battle is an orgy, but, only seeing the heroines having sex on the grabs might clash with that notion. In no way are those silly elements enough to hinder my enjoyment of the mod by any means, but I do like the idea of pure heroines being corrupted through the lewd eldritch horrorrs they are combating An idea i had is similirat to how after beating the first campaing into the DD the townfolk sprites start to glitch out the food and other items could turn lewd as well as we progress through the game. TLDR I am not bothered by the silly elements, but I'd like to see LL go into a more serious direction,

That would fall more into the middle vote category then, right?

So my personal take (and this might be delving a bit into headcanon for some of it) is that I like the idea that the lewdness is an encroaching eldritch thing. I think serious adventurer ladies being impacted by the lewd monsters they encounter is a great balance. It ties in with the development of fetishes as they fight off the surrounding life (and undeath) that's being twisted into horny versions of themselves by some lewd eldritch being (the Phallus of Darkness or whatever). I like the idea that the lust meter is basically their resistance to losing themselves to the PoD's influence.
