Please... please tell me it's no longer crashing for you as of 1.55

Yes, allowed 5 captures but it crashed once, which is honestly an improvement. Before it was somewhere between every 2 or 3 captures it would crash. Also, the spider stays alive with 1 hp when it has someone captured and you hit them with what would be lethal damage. All other monster just get reduced to 0 hp and die. Which one is the intended way?

And it was a fresh new dungeon, right? Launched from the hamlet since updating?

Correct, it is a fresh install of 1.55, deleted old files and put in fresh, at least the main folder. I assumed you didn't update anything from the ui folders. When I looked at LL, there didn't seem to be any updates there so I assumed those where the same as before.

And, to be clear, this is using 1.55 with a clean install and not a 'drop the files in and overwrite existing' right?

Both before and after the patch I did not experience those crashes interestingly. If the spider spawner is giving issues maybe temporarily have a 0 spawn for it on some future updates? And those who want to test it could modify “dungeon” folder?

I haven't gotten it to proc yet. I've updated everything accordingly but no crashes. I've done missions in each area and it works fine.

Sadly, the crash still seems to be happening and now the animations have weird semi-transparent boxes around them.

Probably time to make your own game. If you can find the time to redo entire animations you can probably find the time to either make turn based combat from scratch in godot/redot or modify rpgmaker like the para ark dev does it. And if it's your own code that's crashing it's probably a lot easier to debug. In general your game is already very limited by what can even be done just by reskinning darkest dungeon.
