Stripped of her rights after committing crimes in the past, she was branded with the mark of a slave on her back. Because of the brand, her master is able to enthrall her mind simply by ringing a bell, and regularly humiliates her whenever she gets too uppity with him.
You must choose whether to side with her and set her free of her brand, or side with the Lord and let her remain enslaved.

2021-04-20 10:39:31 +0000 UTCMan, she may have been a bit rude in the beginning, not to mention she was a remorseless killer, but I cannot help but pity her. I can understand WHY the mage did it... sympathetic even to his reasoning. I can't say there's a clear cut good in this situation. If I were to help the slave, I am allowing a dangerous killer back into the world. Any blood she spills, every person she slays will be on me. On the other hand, to live in a state where your very free will can be overridden at any time, immense suffering... Not an easy choice. I LOVE IT! Amazing performance you two! And amazing writing InfinityZero! Another series to look forward to!

2021-04-17 13:35:14 +0000 UTCThat's what I was going for. A bit of grey and grey morality. It's a bit of a jerk move for him to enslave her like that, but the only reason she's in that situation in the first place is that she tried to kill him and doesn't regret it. The choice isn't so clear-cut.
