I finally caught up on these rewatches after a break and I just love being back to watching them. And yes, I absolutely would have preferred a full switch episode. Don't get me wrong, I think the stuff with Beiste is important, but I definitely love the swap stuff the most in this episode. Some of the swaps were meh but the ones that weren't made it all worth it.

Top 5 most powerful glee moments! I forgot to mention in the BTS, but Beiste leaving Cooter inspired many women who watched the show to actually leave an abusive situation themselves. Can someone who is familiar with singing (Audrey or anybody) explain to me what singing into and through the notes is exactly? More than a feeling is probably my favorite song here. It’s one of the few moments where I think Tina outshines Rachel. Her voice on the number, especially with the beginning, was so good! Jenna really does soft rock well.

2025-09-04 23:09:02 +0000 UTCOk, I absolutely MISSED the singing outros, I especially loved the one you did before where you dipped just outside of screen frame, only to come back up and sing the next line. Also, as far as the “Freaky Friday” aspect of this episode; I think it worked the way they did it, IMHO. Here’s my logic: Firstly, NOBODY else could march up to Carmen and do what Rachel did, BUT Rachel. Like, I feel like it NEEDED to be her in that moment. Secondly; Puck getting bullied, and being tossed, that also felt like it HAD to be Puck in that moment, especially the blowup afterwards at Beiste, saying that he felt worthless. Finally, Beiste herself; she definitely HAD to be the one to have the courage to walk out on Cooter, and tell him that enough was enough. SHE had to be that person. The examples I listed above; had anyone else done that in their shoes, it wouldn’t have came across as authentic or genuine, as it did WITH the actors and actresses. Respectfully, this is just my opinion.
