I'm super behind on these but I'll put my two cents in anyway. I think if I were in Rachel's shoes, I would be hurt by the hookup, but I think I could maybe get over it, there was a miscommunication. I do actually think they were 'on a break'. They should have discussed what the break meant though. The big issue I have is the fact that he tried to hide it from her. Which means that he knew it was a bad move, but then he dug in his heels and claims that he was not really in the wrong. He blames her for bailing on their relationship, he plays the victim, and then expects forgiveness. That is INCREDIBLY immature. I couldn't forgive that. Their relationship has always been super toxic though, especially the way Ross treats Rachel and the other women in his life. (she's definitely got her own issues that add to the toxicity as well.) Something that has been pointed out by lots of people is that Ross almost never does something genuinely nice for a woman unless he's trying to sleep with her. I honestly think Joey is less misogynistic than Ross (examples: the lady in labor that he helps in the hospital, when he tries to get along with Janice.) ABOUT THE WAXING THING: I hate the idea that body hair is dirty with a fiery burning passion. I'm also of the camp that men who like hairless women are creepy. Only children are hairless. It's a much longer discussion about what capitalism and porn have done to our brains in regard to teaching us from a young age what is and isn't attractive, but I said what I said. And that lady assaulted you. I understand the language barrier, but you didn't understand what was happening and weren't able to give full consent, and that's not okay. I know you seem fine and laugh about it now but I'm still sorry that happened to you.
